This strange thing was that i have never heard much of his work with the exception of the song from the Kodak Commercial also known as 'Times of your life'. But as my Dad have been telling me so much about what a fantastic performer Paul is, i decided to grab a pair of tickets to check it out.
The next task was to get a date for the concert and somehow the first person that came to mind was SHARON! Lol... I told her about it after that and she went 'You think i am so old meh???' No la.... i just thought she is able to appreciate the music. We met slightly ealier to have dinner at Brewerkz, took us quite a while to decide on what to order and we finally settled for 3 appetizers as we did not want to over order. However, what we did not expect was for the portions to be that HUGE... didn't manage to finish it of course.
The concert itself was great! Paul was incredibly energetic for a man in his late 60s! From his well know hits such as 'Diana' to songs that he written for others such as 'My Way' by Sinatra and to his own version of rock songs sang in a different way such as 'Jump' by Van Halen. I never expected it but i enjoyed every single bit of the concert. Will be considering picking up a copy of his album 'Rock Swings'. Special thanks to Sharon for keeping me company that evening as well as the awesome treat. Thanks!
