The One about SNSD in Singapore...

Kpop fever rocks singapore once more! Was really fortunate to be able to secure tickets (Paid in full mind you) to the Girls Generation tour in Singapore. With that said i was actually rather disgusted with the tons of msges requesting for complimentary tickets to the concert as they are 'HUGE FANS'. Oh please... if you are really a huge fan you would have purchased the tickets yourself like i did. But I digress...

The concert kicked of with lots of applause and cheers from the fans and call me backdated but it has been a long while since i have seen such elaborate technical support and visual effects in a concert (well in Singapore at least)

The Girls performed all their famous hits and each of the girls also performed a solo item each for all the fans. I was pretty lucky to be able to grab a seat on the second row thus catching a good glimpse of the girls as they walked by! What really amused me was a Gag real that was screened which featured Taemin & Key (of Shinee) as Fanboys of SNSD. Do look out for it on youtube!
I would definately say that i had a great time at the concert! Even got myself some souveniers from the merchandizing booth too! Can't wait for the next concert!

The One about Universal Studios Singapore.....

The inaugral Trip of Universal Studios is has finally arrived for me! This time however i decided to make it a double combo as it also falls under the Halloween Horror Nights Event that happened towards the evening. But First things first lets kick of with the intinerary of the day.

Met up with Connie early so that we could be one of the first to try all the rides and when we entered we were immediately greeted by a lovable chilhood character Woody Woodpecker! We proceeded with the 'Lights Camera Action' which involved Steven Speilberg simulating a scene from the movie 'Twister' after which we took the time to check out some performances at the Monster Rock theatre as well as outside Mels Diner.

The land of Madagascar was was filled with our favourite Jungle animals and of course not to forget the psychotic penguins as well! Was pretty lucky to be able to grab a picture with them and of course the really entertaining boat ride into the caves of the Foosah! lol

The Land of Far far away was filled with funny versions of all our fairy tale creatures! Puss in Boots was out and about this time and if you happen to be there, be sure to check out the Live stand up comedy show by Donkey as well as the amazing Shrek 4D ride for a whole bunch of laughs.

It was a pity the 'Rapid adventure' Ride was down at Jurrasic Park even though the enclosure looked like a set from the actual movie. We decided to head down to Waterworld to catch the performance. It was a performance worth getting soaked for! Reenacting a scene from the famous Kevin Costner movie back in the 90s, this show was filled with pyrotechnics and special efefcts and not to forget lots of WATER!

Ancient egypt was filled with actors dressed as characters from "The 'Mummy" franchise. That of course included servants of Horus and Anubis as well as Mathayus from the Scorpion King. There of course also included the 'Revenge of the Mummy' ride that everyone has been raving about. A high velocity ride with special effects that will rock your socks off!

Next up was the Sci Fi city where we ended things off with the Battlestar Galactica ride. The Human version was enough for a kick for me so i dared not try the Cylon version.

The tranformers ride featured a new autobot created exclusively for this ride called EVAC. Words can't explain how mind blowing this ride was so do check it out yourselves ya?

To wrap things up we head on down to the New York sector of USS once more and took pictures with some of our lovable characters from Hollywood like Charlie Chaplin, Betty Boop, Beetlejuice... etc Definately an experience to remember but will the Halloween night be as good? Look out for it in my next post!

The One about RaNia live in Singapore....

RaNia is finally here in Singapore! And for the benefit of those who are not at all K-Pop Savvy. They are the much-talked about girl group consisting of 7 members T-ae, Joy, Riko, Saem, Xia, Jooyi and Di! It was definately an honour to be able to be part of the project together with the guys from DR Music and The Artist Connection in Bringing them in to Singapore.

Upon their Arrival in the Hotel i was surprised to find out that despite their ice cold personality on the Music video they are in reality a very friendly and cheerful bunch! A quick shoutout and big thank you to Joy who was patient enough to play the role of a translator for both the girls and us.

Proceeded to Club Butterfly shortly after for the showcase preparationd and Due to popular demand, there was 2 seperate showcases planned with the first also including an autograph session of their CD for all their fans. The Fans were totally passionate about this amazing encounter and i am sure the girls were touched as well.

The girls not only pulled off a great performance, but they impressed everyone with their sincerity and friendliness. Kicking off their showcase night with their debut track “Dr Feel Good” they also performed their follow up single 'Masquerade and surprised the audience with a remake of Baby V.O.X‘s “Accident”.

It was definately a pleasure and honour to be able to host the press interview for the girls. I went on my own accord to print a T-shirt with RaNia's logo on it and was rather happy when the girls noticed it and said they liked it a lot!

The one about STGCC 2011.....

The time has come finally for my annual pilgrimage to the Singapore Toys Games and Comics Convention 2011. As much as i am a huge suckers for events like this i could only describe this years experience as dissapointing.

Don't get me wrong as the purpose of this entry is not to rant about how i thought the event was a flop but more of the fact that i thought i simply expected more of this event. Everything seems to be haphazardly done from the invitees of the Walk of Fame, the quality of the exhibitors and even the quality of the program booklet seems to be compromise. Am rather suprised at the lack of coverage from actual media as well.

Oh well, In any case i still kinda enjoyed myself and went on a frenzy in purchasing all my favourite comic books as usual. The DC booth had Legendary writer and Ex- President of DC comics grace the event and booth and i was lucky and fortunate enough to get him to sign a copy of my 'Legion of Superheroes' Comic book. There was also a Limited edition of Flashpoint #1 on sale! just finished reading it and the storyline is awesome.
Cosplayers were in for a treat as well because Cosplay Diva Kipi (http://www.kipi-fan.com/) was there posing for pictures with fans. She is seriously such a sweetheart greeting all her fans with that ever smiling face. In fact when actually ran over to the queue with the 'MY FANS!!!!' expression on her face when i first saw her... lol

Marvel comics had invited a whole much of their artists too and each had their own booth doing commisions and signings as well. A Quick shoutout and thank you to Stephen Segovia who did a Sketch for me and Lenil Yu whom signed my T-shirt (which had a design of Wolverine drawn by him btw)

I guess the most memorable moment for me this time happened when i was getting the autograph from Andrew Bell a.k.a designer of the Android Mascot (http://www.deadzebra.com/). He asked me what sketch did i want and i replied 'I like to drink so can you give me a wasted version of Android?' He laughed and did exactly that for me!

Well to conclude even though i expected more from this but i still had fun in general. A Quick shoutout to all the independant booths as well as the good people from Zaneeds who ask me to take part in their charity auction in which i won the Autograph board illustrated by ChanXCo.Till then!

The One about Korean Wave Concert 2011....

Finally!!! Korean Wave 2011 is here! I guess this is as good an opprtunity as any for me to play the Role of a Fanboy but since i missed the opportunity to catch Big Bang Live in Singapore last year. There was little suprise for my over enthusiasm when i heardthey were popping by Singapore again. The show was Hosted by Min of Miss A and Kevin of UKiss.

But this time there is so much more to look out for coz 2NE1 is here as well! It was totally off the limits to see all the fellow Blackjacks and V.I.Ps screaming their lungs out in anticipation of seeing this two awesome group and i am proud to say i was among one of those as well.

The concert kicked of with 4 tracks from FT island and needless to say my favourite tracks 'Bing Bing Bing' and 'I Hope' were among those performed. Lee Hong Ki can most definately sing! can't really say i was a huge fan of them initially but i could dare say if there should be an opportunity to catch them live again? I would most definately wanna be there.
This was followed by performances of upcoming sensations such as Dal Shabet, X5, Teen Top and Da Boss. Even though this was the first time hearing their music, but it was not too bad! Not to mention that they had fans of their own so i guess the dozens of fans screaming explained their popularity for itself.

UKiss and Miss A was up next and i was amazed by the electrifying charisma of both groups on stage! Being a typical hot blooded male i have to take this time to mention that Suzy from Miss A was simply gorgeous.

2NE1 came up next performing some of their newest tracks such as 'I am the Best' and 'Ugly'. CL brought the energy level to a new high that night before Big Bang finally came on to the stage. Unfortunately Daesung of Big Bang couldnt make it but it was good enough for now to be able to see the guys perform their solo pieces.

To Conclude.. Totally awesome!Heres to all V.I.Ps!!!

The One about DJ MASA.....

Came across DJ MASA's music right about the same time as i came across Kpop music and as Lame as this may actually seem, it changed my perspective totally about music in general. Now I used to think that Kpop music was a fad that will pass and it probably will eventually. But I also do agree that many korean artisites have put in a tremendous lot of Effort in the production of the tracks, videos etc.

But I digress, In anycase we actually decided to bring down DJ MASA a.k.a Carlos Brandao himself for a night of partying at Dbl O after much pondering at all. Was rather worried if he was going to be a Diva and all but turns out he is pretty all right! Just like any one of us he enjoys partying, good food, the beach and of course KPOP music.

The party itself kickstarted with a warm up set by DJ S.Junior while Carlos had his meet and greet session with his fans and graciously accepted questions durin his press interview. The fans were awesome and i was seriously in awe of their ability to mimic all the dance steps to the kpop tracks. There was a short performance by the guys from Recognize studios as well.

I then had the honour to introduce.... DJ MASA!!! well.. words can't describe the atmosphere but if you are thinking along the lines of HOT, LOUD, AWESOME, CRAZY... you are probably right. I any case it was also very nice to have all our friends to show up and give their support to the event! a quick shout out to Yan, Adeline, Cake, ThungMay, Jasmint, Evelyn, Advin, Valencia, Leslie, Felix and any others i may have missed out!

Well to end things off it was a wonderful experience and we can't wait for our next party to happen. Also a big thank you to all the fans! Especially the ones that followed us all he way to the airport! (Haha... you know who you are)

The One about STGCC 2010!!!

Its time for the Annual Not to be missed (In my books anyway) but i guess this time the only slight difference is that i only got to attend it on the second day due to other work commitments. Still pleased as a punch that i got to make time for it though.

There were much more guests attending the Walk of fame this time round and sad to speak with that came a whole bunch of autograph hounds as well. Tons of them flooded the area even though i am sure some of them aren't even aware of what they are queueing up for and would probably just sell of their autographed merchandise in hope of making a quick buck out of it.

There was a combination of Eastern and Western Pop Cultures on showcase and it was amazing to say the least to see all the different types of Comics, Toys and games that i grew up reading or playing with. Marvel Studios, Lucasarts both had their own booth as well taking the time to also invite some of their artists and storyboard writers for a autograph session as well.

My ticket also included a meet and greet session with the famous Japanese girl group AKB48 here to promote their latest single 'Chance'. Didn't get to stay for long to meet up with the cute chicks there was no photography allowed, but they did give me a nice postcard of the girls though. Awesome Stuff!

It was a pity that the larger toy making & video game making companies such as Bandai, Capcom, Hasbro, Nintendo etc... did not take part in the convention this year. I am sure i am not just speaking for myself but it would have definately be more of a blast if they were here. It was however replaced with more retail outlets such as Rapid culture and Action City who seemed more interested in sales rather than introducing new merchandise. But I did manage to make some purchases though.

It was also pretty heartwarming to see many new local artists displaying their works and showcasing their art one by one. And seriously speaking, some were really not too bad! Managed to pick up a artbook from local artist Kelvin from rocketraygun he even did a sketch of the Green Lantern for me. But the meeting with Phil Ortiz who have been the artist for the Simpsons comics series takes the cake. Managed to get a sketch from him too!
Didn't manage to see David Lloyd in person as i had to rush off to Zoukout but all in all it was a good show! Looking forward to STGCC 2011!

The one about a Heartache, a Headache and working late....

Well... I realised it has been all too often when i have used the phrase 'Havent been updating my blog for a while'. Truth is, i have been seriously busy both physically and emotionally. Life has become more eventful day by day and i guess it has its ups and downs, but nevertheless it is still a good opportunity to live life to the fullest.

Had my heart ripped into shreds my different people on various occasions but i guess i'll live. One told me she doesnt want to be in a relationship ever but doesnt want me to stop liking her (basically craves the attention but don't wanna reciprocate). The other basically farming everywhere for guys and i just happened to be some guy. Any the most recent one i have no freaking idea what the hell in going on....

Checked out the Island Spirits promotion happening at Serangoon gardens over the weekend and i finally realised it has been a long while since i checked out serangoon gardens! Overall found it a nice place to chill with drinks and all. Great to see Sophia and charmaine as well but had to leave early sadly as i was having a splitting headache the whole time but not before heading to chomp chomp to takaway my fave mee goreng and prawn fritters! lol....Till then!

The One about Firehouse.......

Heard about this concert while chilling at the spa on a sunday and not only did it get me all excited, it brought back a lot of memories as well both pleasant and unpleasant.

First thing i did was to immediately book my tickets! it was great that Angie decided to go as well so i helped booked the tickets too. Thought initially that i was going to be pretty much alone during the concert but realised that Eva was going to be there last minute too. Lol... Next time got Rock Concert Khaki liao....

The concert was amazing, it was great to be able to hear the songs that i grew up listening to live coming from the band. All time favourites like 'Love of a Lifetime' and 'When i look into your eyes' drove the crowd wild and i did not regret a single bit being there that night.

Tried to play groupie by staying late after the concert in hopes to catch the band for a picture but hunger got the better of us and when ended up going for dinner. But Nevertheless... ROCK ON!!!

The One about Brown Eyed Girls....

Was able to secure passes to Brown eyed girls showcase at Zouk! Now, For the benefit of those who are not exactly that into the Kpop scene, The Brown Eyed Girls are a Korean Girl Band group consisting of four members: Jea, Ga-in, Narsha and Miryo. Now even though they have been around for quite a while now. But I personally felt their rise to popularity in Singapore was due to the song 'Acrabadabra' (Check it out on Youtube!)

Upon entering Zouk It was totally packed!!! It didn't exactly matter even though we were holding on to the VIP passes because the VIP area was just as packed! In the end it was out of sheer luck did we managed to squeeze into a nice cozy spot enabling us to catch a glimpse of the girls performance.

The performance began with a Korean Dance group known as Sachoom and there was also another performance by another soloist known as Lee An. To Say to truth they were not half bad but the moment the girls came out the crowd went wild! It was also rather amusing to see that everyone could dance to the steps to their favourite songs and some even know the lyrics too!

There also happen to be a stage game session where the winners walked away with autographed merchandise from the girls... Lucky people! But seriously speaking, I was just Happy to Be There! Till Then!

The one about Paramore.....

The moment I heard that Paramore was coming to town i went totally ecstatic! While i wouldn't dare say that i am the biggest fan (that will be you Crystal). i would say that ever since the day i heard the song 'crushcrushcrush' i have started to update myself on their work ever since. Kinda wierd that someone my age will still listen to them? Haha... I dont really care!

The energy level was totally high at Singapore indoor stadium and it has been quite a while since i saw such a crowd and i bumped into quite a lot of familiar faces too! Mel, Daph, Des, Vernon and the others.

Seriously words cannot describe how much i enjoyed myself at this concert. I could only say it was one of the best concerts i have ayyended till date. Hayley Williams was her usual bouncy self and like how John Mayer once commented. She is indeed the Great Orange Hope of Rock.

To Conclude i could only say the only regret i had was not being able to make it for the meet and greet! Oh well... but still, a night to remember!

The one about Chinese New Year.....

And yes it is the season for Ang pows, Mandarin Oranges, Alchohol, Gambling and most of all Happiness! Of course with that, i have to be talking about Chinese New Year. Similar to last year i had a open house gathering over at my place again and many were invited. only different thing was that this year i did less of insisting and just the casual open invitation thing. Was really touched that many did show up though!

The caterer arrived rather early this year and it was a relief we managed to bargain with the caterer to allow us to keep the spread there for an hour later than the usual collection time. Once again though due to my Kiasu (or Kiasee for that matter) mentality of worrying there may not be enough food.. We ended up with too much food!! Connie and Dior was one of the earliest to arrive though (Thanks dears) to keep me company. The rest came shortly after as well.

Managed to make some Mojitos as well as stocked up on the different beers and was pretty glad i did in the end. Haha.... Anmy was rather impressed that i actually went through the trouble of preparing lime wedges for the Coronas. Made sure everyone was happily fed as well as buzzed before we proceeded with a friendly game of 21. For the Non Gamblers the PS3 machine was set up as well. Even though usually i do have terrible luck in Gambling but thankfully this time i think i still made a profit of 10 bucks... lol...

To conclude it is a really happy occasion only made complete and possible by everyone who attended! So Thank you EVERYONE!!! Special credit meention goes to......

The One about Four Mod....

Attended the Four Mod concert at Moko! For the benefit of those who do not know who are they. They are a Thai pop duo consisting of 2 girls, Four & Mod (simple isnt it?) Well this was kind of the first celebrity that is having their concert in the newly opened premises of Moko Club.

With all that said i have to truly admit that prior to this i have absolutely no idea who these two girls were at all. Even though there were always instances where i have heard their songs before without knowing that it was them singing. In order to find out a little more about them so as to not look like a complete idiot during the concert. I went through youtube to search for their songs for a bit. Reminded me a little like a thai version of Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi! well.... not in terms of looks but more on the overall presentation.
The girls looked much more sweet and pretty in person i would have to say, and not to mention their spunky personality and energy on stage toko everyone by storm. Some of the fellow audiences even sang along! Though i am not sure if they were singing the lyrics proper... lol.

Bumped into Amanda who was working there and it was good to have a little company as Cash was busy running around to keep things in order. Dawn 'Domokun' made a suprise visit to say hi to Amanda as well but didnt stay long though. Overall it was a success! bring on the next one!

The one about GateCrashers....

Alright I do realise this is a little belated but here goes. My rountined idea for NYE have always been either doing a simple countdown at home or to spend it with someone special. However ever since 'She' walked out of my life things started to get a little different. Now it is more of attempting to do some hosting during the period orwith friends at some pub/club.

This year i got to kinda experience both concurrently because i was assisting with the Gatecrashers Countdown party held at the Marina Barrage. There was lots of food and drinks (Superdogs has fantastic burgers... YUM) There was also lots of entertainment arranged during the party as well! Stilt walkers, Human Statues, 4 seperate Dancing crews, Fire breathers just to name a few.

Apart from that there was also a fantastic DJ lineup that day! Yoji, Blank and Jones as well Scott Bond were some of he internationally renowned names on the decks that day. We even got to meet Yoji in person for quite a while and he was really nice! (Even though i am still very disturbed by his fake eyelashes and make up.)

It was a fantastic event and all of us did managed to party through the night indeed. Went home seriously high! Not so much on the alchohol but more on the company, fun as well as music as well. It was also great to be able to meet some new friends too. Cant wait to see everyone next year!

The One about AFA 2009...

Another event that i was not about tomiss out was of course Anime Fest Asia 2009. This time it was slightly different some said for the better some said for the worse but nevertheless i did enjoy myself at the event. Although i must say i did had a tad more fun the previous year (Unlike some others who expected the heavens just because they are a paying customer... reality check assholes, WE ALL ARE.)

Managed to reach the place in time along with Javern to catch the Cosplay competition. This time there were actually representatives from all different parts of the world involved in this. The 'Gundam guy' took part as well and as expected won the competition. Congratz to him but frankly speaking i was kind of hoping that for once it was someone else who won the competition.

I personally liked the 'Witchblade Girls' who reenacted an entire anime scene of the above mentioned cartoon. Celebrity cosplayer Kaname was one of the guest judges for the event and it was cool to see him in his different Garbs.

I didnt manage to get the concert tickets for this year for the I love Anisong showcase but imagine my thrill when Shoko Nakagawa made a guest appearance for a meet and greet prior to the concert. Managed to take a quick snap of her just as she was about to leave.

Iris joined us slightly later and was keeping a lookout for her toys and stuff. Left the event a happy person but not bfore grabbing a Ichirou Mizuki Tshirt for Bro!

The one about Kronenberg 1664 Blanc Launch..

A Belated post since last year!! But Nevertheless i would like to take this opportunity to thank Javern for the invite to this awesome event. Also special thanks to Jerome for having us there.

The interesting thing about this event was that i have aready beed a fan of the Kronenberg 1664 Blanc Beer ever since i got to try it at Dbl O, as such this was probably just an excuse for me to drink myself silly at the event.

It was also an awesome event to say the least as this was also in conjunction with Lush99.5 as well as the showcasing of Agnes b's new series of products. There was even a lucky draw where a lucky winner would walk away with some limited edition products by Agnes b!

And of course lots of familiar faces to look out for there as well. Lavina was hosting the event and Chris was on the console keeping the mood alive. Dawn and Amy was working at the event too! Not to mention also managed to say hi to Adlina, Yanie, Silver and the others as well.

Drinking on an empty stomach is a terrible idea though as i left quicky with the rest to Maccers to grab a quick bite. It was cool to recieve a nice goodie bagwith cufflinks and also that awesome caricature of myself too! Haha.... Till the next time... heres a glimpse of cartoon me!

The one about Zoukout 2009...

Yes! As the title has it, it is time for the largest annual beach party in Singapore once again! And this time it just gets better and better! Zoukout this year was slightly diffeent for me as i actually helped out as part of the performing team for 42 below. We had Dancers, Cheerleaders, Photo takers and I was part of the New Zealand Maori team which was out to do a famous Haka called 'Kamate'.

Reached the place early this time as there was a lot of preparation work to be done. The girls had to get their make up done and the guys had to get their facial warpaint done as well! Now the irritating part is preventing the facepaint from smudging for the entire duration of the party.

The party itself however is a cocktail of good fun and good music. It was also as if everyone from the industry is gathered at that very moment for Zoukout as we had been bumping into countless familir faces for the whole evening.

Armin also took the crowd away for the sunrise set and i proceeded to lala land after that. Well, i sincerely hope they will be having it again this year!

The one about Halloween 2009....

Its Halloween once again! Really amazed that how fast time flies as it seems like it has just been a while ago when i and a few other friends were racking our brains on what to go as for last year. That of course concluded in me becoming a Mad Scientist as well as assisting Javerns make-up as the Joker from the Batman franchise.

This year we decided to go much more simpler.... well, in some aspects at least. Instead of doing a manual bar hop, we decided to join the Dbl O party bus that brought us to a group of many different pubs! It was a pity that due to heavy rain, we were unable to go on to the open ait Hippo bus. But no matter! It was nonetheless just as fun as everyone was dressed to the occasion this year!

Came across the idea of this years costume when i was browsing on the net by chance. Was checking out costumes on the web when i saw a picture of Billy the puppet from the Saw movie series. Tried very hard to purchase it but it was not easy to find! So i ended up making my halloween costume from scratch this year. Is it any good? Well i guess thats for you to judge and not me.

Cash and the rest of the gang was awesomely dressed as usual coming as a group of school boys and girls from hell! Judy was seriously creepy to say the least! but we had fun helping to distribute lollipops to people as well as posing for pictures as well. Definately emmersed into the trick or treating spirit hopping from places like Balaclava all the way to the Hard rock cafe as well as Clarke Quay terrorizing the crowd.

Just caught the Top Selling movie ' My Girlfriend is an Agent' and thought i might as well do a little review for it. Having being a fan of Korean pop culture, I always found it rather amazing how Korean movies managed to match up to the standards of HongKong movies in recent years and even Hollywood is some cases. This movie is of no exception. The gist of the story is as follows.

The Lead actress Soo-ji is a government agent disguised as a travel agent who can’t reveal her career to her boyfriend Jae-joon. Unable to cope with her lies, her boyfriend breaks up with her and leaves without notice. Three years later, while chasing an industrial spy in disguise as a cleaning lady, she happens to run into Jae-joon. He is now a international accountant, or is he?

Somewhat this movie really reminds me of 'Mr & Mrs Smith' complete with all the thrills and spills and also with a more lighthearted feel due to all the comedic elements included in this movie. True, the plot is somewhat predictable but you weren't exactly expecting an international thriller full of plots and twists now ya?

To conclude, I would say it is a movie definately worth watching especially if you are looking for a good laugh during this rainy season. And Oh Yeah...... just to brag a bit, I managed to catch the lead actor and actress Kang Ji Hwan & Kim Ha Neul during their promo stint at the Heeren too! Big Whoop!

The one about Pagebreak.......

As many who frequent Dbl O or PRB would have already know, Pagebreak is one of the most well loved resident bands performing there and as fate would have it i was graciously invited to their 2nd anniversary performing at PRB!

This time however, the event was proudly sponsored by Carlsberg and Converse as well. The combination of beer, great music , great company and other goodies from Converse definately made it an absolute blast. There was of course a mini display showcase of some of the limited edition converse products in the small boutique just outside Dbl O..... Really tempting!!!! but way out of my budget... HAHAHA.....

The Dbl O party crew was of course there too entertaining everyone ith their smooth dance moves and of course taking pictures for everyone. Special thanks to Cash, Shark, Dawn and Amy for ensuring the party levels were kept way up high!

Overall i had lots of fun! but i fell down at one point la..... embarassing story to be told another day... lol

The One about Oktoberfest 2009.....

Was asked by Lydia earlier during the week on whether i would be keen to go for Oktoberfest this year proudly organised by Erdinger & Timbre Mobile located at East Coast Park. Even though i was currently on a diet (and Savings) plan, the temptation for cheap beer and good food was simply too great! So decided to go for the 'Eat now, Think later' mentality.

When we reached i realised that everyone else must have had the exact idea too as it was pcked with people! Thank god for the table reservation made were we able to secure a place. Bumped into quite a number of friends that i havent met in quite a while (Bernie, Charlene, Philbert thats you!). There was also a performance by Swiss funk band Starch and with that in place, The Circle of enjoyment is once again complete! (Good food, Drinks, Music ,Company)

Lynn, Jerms and Beckie were around too as we helped ourselves to the beer, pizza, wings and sausages. In fact we may have even ordered a little too much as there were plenty of leftovers! But seriously, food was awesome la... i was just too stuffed to finish them all.

As usual, the event was also filled with cute female service staff dressed as German Beer maids complete with the pigtails. I guess i must have a little to much to drink coz at one point i could have sworn that i slammed my beer mug on the table and called out 'MORE ALE WENCH!' oops..... not the most clever of ideas....

Lyd's chef friend joined us after that too... Haha... didnt manage to help us finish the food though coz he felt it was too overcooked.... lol... Till then!

The one about Casse's Wedding & SQ's birthday...

Was invited by Qin to celebrate her birthday at her workplace in Clarke Quay. Javern and I was rather early as we spent the morning at Casse & Benny's Wedding. didnt get to take much pictures as there was already quite a few professional photographers there (My lil old camera looks like a toy compared to theirs) Saw quite a number of familar faces though (Hi Charlotte, Sharon, Elaine...etc) but most of them were pretty busy doing their job as jie meis la.

Letf slightly earlier than planned as Jav and i both had to make our way to Clarke Quay for Qins birthday next. Somehow we managed to reach rather early and had some extra time to chill. It wasnt long before the rest all arrived and we made our way slowly for dinner and thereafter for Drinks.

It was a pretty relaxing evening with us playing games such as dice and darts (Lynn is suprisingly good for a beginner). Got the birthday girl a cake but she ended up feeding the cake to everyone else....*#$%$^%$....... But I guess we all got our revenge when she was loaded with a few 151s in the end! 1st one courtesy of me!

The one about Ready Set Glo: The Mad Decent Tour....

Well i always gotta give it up for Ning who have always invited us to the most awesome parties and events. This one is of course no exception. Recieved an txt msg we simply two words the day before that went 'Tommorow... Zouk' and considering the fact that Cash and Judy were both performing there too i decided to check it out.

Turns out i was not dissapointed to say the least! Would should be the guest Dj that night but Dim Mak label owner and remixer du jour Steve Aoki! This time however he brought his partner in crime Diplo who had been the person responsible for the remixes by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chi1p,Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to name a few. Music was simply great that evening! This was of course part of the monthly parties brought to us by 42below vodka!

Apart from that was also the quirkiness of Steve aokis personality that brought a new life to the party. Among all of it the few that i had a strong impression of was him ripping his shirt of on stage as well as spraying champagne on everyone on the dance floor.... Ok... all of a sudden i am quite happy i was not that close to the console.

While there i also managed to check out a new flavour of 42 below which was plum flavoured. Tasted exactly like plum wine but with a stronger kick and buzz of course. Hmm..... the next time i am gonna mix it with Soda....

The one about Singtel Grid Girl Finals 2009...

Was invited by Crystal to support her at the finals of the Singtel Grid Girls competition and imagine my suprise to bump into many friends that i didn't expect to see! Chermaine was one of them as i was under the impression that she couln't make it. Later did i realise it was just part of her plan to give Crystal a suprise.. Haha Sweeeeet.

It was also rather funny as i managed to catch up a while with Feliza as well. Funny because we both saw one another but dared not approach one another for fear that we recognised the wrong person. Event was rather amazing even though Crystal's section of supporters was completely packed so that I and Chermaine had to park ourselves in another section, but no matter! We still cheered as l0ud as possible for both parties as well.

Nick was there as well with his trusty little camera and took a picture of me in another section! Haha... don't anyhow post the picture k bro, you are gonna get meinto so much trouble

Didnt came as a suprise when we saw who was the overall winner though as she was already given quite high marks in all the graded segments prior to the competition. Nevertheless we are all very proud of you babe! Hoot! Congratulations to Cordy as well who came in second runner up in the competition as well =).

The one about the Birthday celebration 2009....

Even though the main activities of the celebration wa pretty much the same as any other year. But this year turned out to be a rather special day after all! I guess i was having mixed emotions with regards to the whole thing and don't get me wrong, i have pretty much let it go and come to terms with the fact that what has happened is a reality and will not change in whatever way.

However, part of me was actually hoping that maybe they would at least drop a birthday greeting.... perhaps a card... perhaps a sms.... whatever. After all i did the same ya? Well... it did not happen and if you are reading this (and i am very sure you are not), just want to say Congratz for finding what you have been looking for all this while.

On to more cheerful stuffs, as a safeguard in case i got toally wasted. I decided to book a hotel room once again. Spent the day relaxing before heading to Dbl O to catch Cash & Judy's performance (Awesome as usual). Seriously thought i could escape from all the drinking but it was totally naive to think that Joe, Fran, Jasper, Jason, Jack and the rest of the gang would let me off that easily. Simply put, i was 70% gone when we left Dbl O for Butter and once we reached Butter factory, Cash and Jack delivered the killing blows of a shot of flaming 151's each. Couldnt remember a thing after that but i was told that we went for supper, followed by back to the hotel for board games.

The next day was an exciting day of Wakeboarding (or at least trying to) and Prawning till the morning! Call me slow but it is seriously the first time i have attempted both activities and even though i pretty much suck at both, I have a pretty great time after all. Just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this a special and memorable day for me. Special thanks to 'Family' (hehe... you guys know who you are)

The one about Johnnie Walker Jet Black Party....

Was invited to the Johnnie Walker Jet Black party courtesy of nadnut and this has got to be one of the best parties i have atended in the longest time. The event was held at One on the Bund and started pretty early so as to coincide with the big race. Upon reaching the location we were asked to sign our names on the wall before entering the place and being greeted by a smaller scaled model of team vodafone mercedes mclaren vehicle as driven by lewis hamilton. (the real one... Not the model car)

In to the event we go! It was fortunate that Darryl was here even earlier otherwise it would have beeen close to impossible to get a seat. Food and Drinks were all on the house on that day. As there were a couple of cocktails that was specially concocted for this event (Checkered Flag, Yellow Flag & Johnnie Sour) We decided to each go for one of it first. FLAG OFF!!!

The race began and we were all pretty excited how the outcome was going to be. The atmosphere was excellent as we checked out concoctions specially prepared by award winning mixologists featuring Singapores very own Aubrey Sim. There also happened to be a dessert bar which featured some of the most amazing pralines and other items. Special thanks to the ladies at the counter who were ever so patient when i and Edmund went on and on for unlimited helpings of chocolates.

Time flies when you are having fun and it wasnt long before the last lap of the race and as many would probably have known by now, Lewis Hamilton won the race. F1 fans took the moment to express thair joy (or not ) at the outcome while other like myself took the opportunity to look out for Nicole Sherzinger on TV.... lol

The race was over but the party aint! What carried on for the remainder of the evening was a night of fantastic music (Andrew T was spinning... awesome) even more finger food, more booze and of course the company of many friends. Some old, some new and some i havent seen in the longest time., But it doesnt matter! Till we meet again!

Finally recovered from all the nonsense and decided to treat myself to a outing with friends. Met up first with Lyd, Grace, Becks and Nick for a nice dinner of extremely hot buffalo wings @ Seletar. I was spared the agony as i just recovered from my Gastritis (Phew!) Therefore managed to indulge in generous helpings of deep fried button Mushrooms and Clam Chowder. Awesome!

Head over to Supperclub for the Fresh Fridays party organised by Rachel. It also happened to me Ians birthday party which gave me the more reason to head down. Music was excellent and the company was great! Even bumped into Alex whom i met slightly over a year ago in a vodka drinking competition. Haha... To bad didnt get to make the Bday boy drink more.

Next stop was to meet the family at Lunar before heading down to Neverland. I think most of us was pretty high the particular night due to the neverending supply of drinks. As as if to compliment the evening. Many Kpop songs were played too! Which one? Hahaha... Geegeegeegee baby baby baby..........

Just recovered from a Gastric infection well enough to attend Judys birthday but too bad that i still couldnt drink.. dammit.. The plan was to do a little bar hopping tioll we get Judy smashed so here we go!

The first stop was to China one located at clarke quay, it was more of a warm up session as the main reason we were there was to check out the promo event for 42 below vodka. Needless to say Judy was made to down a few shots of the 'Falling water' creation (which was mainly made up of 42BELOW Feijoa, Lemonade & 1 Cucumber slice) before topping it with the 'Waterfall' cocktail. Nice!

Second stop, off to Ratchada we go where the rest were waiting! there was tons of bottles during the night but suprisingly Judy managed to put up a pretty strong fight, turning tables on every single person that made her drink. It all concluded after the Birthday cake was pushed in when i topped it up with the Flaming Lambourghini Cocktail. What followed through the night was Judy that was Happilly Singing and Dancing! Woohooo!!

I had to leave shortly after so as to not further aggravate my gastric problem but i heard the night was filled with even more drama after that! Hahaha... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!

The one about STGCC 2009....

Enjoyed myself thoroughly during last years Singapore toys, games and comics convention and i have been looking forward to this years for an entire year! Well, apart from that there are also many other reasons why i desperately wanted to attend this special event. First was the whole list of artists from the industry that made a appearance in this event. As expected there were long queues for their autographs and needless to say i was one of those queuing up.

One of the hall of famers happened to be Brian Bolland who inked 'Batman: The killing joke" many years ago. I actually rushed to get a deluxe copy of the above mentioned comic upon learning of his arrival many months ago! Kiasu la....

I believe it is many kids dream to be comic artists when they grow up. Unfortunately, living in south east asia makes it pretty difficult to actually make it big in the industry. One person, Tan Eng Huat managed to succeed though and it was also a blast being able to meet him here.

Was playing a board game named 'Ugly!Ugly!' a while back when i was at Minds cafe with Joey and May and imagine my suprise when i came across a whole series of dolls from the games in the Uglydolls booth! Decided to buy myself one and got it signed by one of the creators David Horvath as well.

Also a huge hit among all the attendees was the Tokidoki booth. Similar to last year most of the good items were sold out by the first day. I was fortunate enough to be able to grab a cap which also entitled me to a personalised on the spot sketch done by Mr Tokidoki Simone Legno himself!

There was also a cosplay competition and apparently Iris and Amanda booth took part in the Ultimate PLAY Babe competition. Javern and i decided to do our part and screamed our lungs out cheering for both of them. They won a NDS each! Proud of both of you girls!

There was also a Cosplay Competition that was on going and needless to say there were quite a number of characters that were being played this time round. Ranging from comic to anime and even movie characters. Some of them actually looked pretty convincing!

It was simply awesome knowing that there were so many artistial talents in the comics/ manga industry. and the conception that mangakas are usually Japanese is totally wrong! Camilla d'errico work in her comic series 'Tanpopo' is a serious work of art about a little girl with no emotions and i was lucky enough to get the last two copies on sale that day. She was sweet enough to do a personalised sketch for me too (And did i mention she was rather pretty?)

Special thanks to the dudes i met from Kamakiri (it means Praying mantis apparently) who spent most of their time doing crayon sketches next to the Devilrobots booth. Imagine my suprised when they handed me one of their sketches! Sweet!

The event was finally concluded with tickets to the asian premier screening of 'Green lantern: First Flight' which i won on the first day along with some comic books! Javern won some prizes too for attending the event in a Green Lantern Shirt. Anyway, heres ending this post witha picture of my spoils from the convention!

Overall it was a unforgetable even. Can't wait for STGCC 2010!!

The one about Joes Birthday...

It was a Friday and the date of Joes long awaited birthday! All of us would have expected Joe to be pretty much smashed by the end of the night. But unknowned to the public 'Stephen Chow' has engaged the services of Alchohol blockers (namely Jack and myself)to ensure that he was sober for the entire night.

Didnt exactly know what to get for Joe as a birthday present initially, but i guess i was lucky enough to come across a Big Bang CD while on the way there. And seeing how all of us are in the Kpop craze lately, I thought it might be as good an idea as any. The usual gang were there making the evening a really enjoyable one.

On a Seperate note, it also happened to be the birthday of Lynn, one of Joe's staffs too! Unfortunately as everyone kinda gave up on the idea of getting Joe drunk, they decided to switch targets instead. Needless to say, Lynn got pretty much wasted at the end. I go have some pictures but...... Haha... not gonna post it up la.... lol....

I and Judy happened to be playing Rock papaer Scisors the whole night and i finally realised how i actually sucked at the game. Went home completely smashed myself! Hahahaha....... Anyway, Happy Birthday Big Guy!

Have been catching the korean variety show 'Family outing' (a.k.a Family's here) recently and it seriously rocks! This started to trigger ideas for us to come up with our own version just for the fun of it! All these happened to be ideas floating in the air though.

We decided to meet at Judy's shop first (Far east plaza #01-77 Papillion) grabbed a few snacks and munchies here and there. Yan, Jack and I decided to go window shopping while thinking of a place to eat after that. Turns out we weren't really that creative as we ended up settleing for steamboat at Crystal Jade Holland Village once again. Cash actually went 'Steamboat again???!??!?' upon hearing the news. haha...

Glenn met up with us too at Holland V and i must say that the dinner was rather good! Complete with unlimited helpings of dimsum items we left the place completely stuffed. Just like the show, we were su[pposed to play a game after dinner and it happened to be 'Three blind mice' People must have felt it was wierd that a group of adults were hanging around the playground but it didnt matter as we had fun!

We even managed to pull a prank on Judy towards the end and concluded the evening with a nice Family photo!

Was asked earlier on by Esther to take part in a drinking competition (damn my reputation for drinking... arghh) The good thing was that there was a redeeming factor in this. It was for a good cause. Basically all the money made from this will be used to build a house for a needy family in indonesia. So there we go, a perfect excuse to get drunk.

The competition was held at RAW the kitchen bar which is locaed in the old Bukit Timah fire sation. We had a team of strong drinkers all waiting to win the competition too. The details are as follows, we had to drink 60 shots of beer over an hour in intervals of 1 minute. Thus, 60 mins 60 shots sounds simple enough? Were we ever so wrong.

Firstly what the organisers didnt tell us was that the first 10 shots of beer were mixed with beer that had hard liquor in them (tequila, vodka, rum, etc) What we also forgot was that beer has lots of gas in them! So we practically spent a whole hour burping and resisting the urge to pee. It was cool of the organisers who decided to incorporate some games within the program in which the winners gets some water balloons. Needless to say Pam was victim to the water balloons.

I think every did manage to enjoy themselves on top of doing their part for charity this time round. Will really be looking forward to the next round. Hooot! Oh ya one more thing..... We won =)

Alright , i am begining to come to terms with the fact that i may never get to clear all the blogging backlog in my blog so i am gonna cheat by skipping a few events. This happened to be the 2nd Ready set Glo event i have attended and played the unofficial official photographer to.

The event was sponsored by Starhub and 42 below vodka. To make things more special, it was also the debut for the Crookers from Germany! Drawing from influences of house, hip hop and beyond, Crookers blend their beats with the kind of fidget house finesse that gives Potty Mouth Music its soiled swagger. Since 2003, DJs Phra and Bot have been drawing upon their collective musical backgrounds to create tracks that twist, startle and surprise with synthetic pop.

Spent the rest of the night dancing away before going home! Till then!

The one about Springsteen, Social House and Zouk..

Made my way down to the Hard rock Cafe after work coz i heard from daphne that there was a Bruce Springsteen proudly organised by the wonderful ppl from Gold 90fm. Even though i did not know much about Springsteens music, but i figured it would be good to show some support for the event. Tim was hosting the event this time round and the band did their version of a a song by 'The Boss' himself. This was overall a nice evening for a chillout session. Was really suprised to see Abbas Saad as well! For the benefit of those that do not know, Abbas used to be a soccer player and played for the Singapore team back in the 90s.

Swung by yo Social house to check out its soft launch after that. Was rather impressed with the decor within the place. Ning, Judy, Yan and Rachel were all there in one of the ktv rooms. It was kind of an interesting concept having the ktv room, clubbing area, dining area all next to one another though. Stayed for a while before heading to Zouk with Jack and Cash.

Zouk was packed as usual and it was so coincidental that i should bump into Ellery and Ben while we were there. We were actually in the midst of a game and a bet, but didnt think it was nice to proceed so we left it as that.Ben kept wanting to drink his Super Lambourghini tho... lol

The one about Lady Gaga....

Once again... Very late post. Thanks to Daphne, i was able to attend the official launch of Singtel's new Amped service which enables subscribers to stream, download and share their favourite music at no additional charges. Apart from that, in conjunction to the launch it happened to be Lady Gaga's first showcase in singapore too!

Wasnt too sure initially on where the event would be at first, however once i reached Clarke quay the answer was pretty obvious by the long queue that stretched along singapore river outside the newly constructed dome on the field area opposite Riverside point. Managed to the shorter (slightly) queue thanks to the corporate invites.

The hosts for the event was none other than Dan and Young and i must say they did a terrific job in getting the crowd all excited with the games played during the event. Spinning on the Decks were also Paul T and Inquisitive who got the crowd going for the evening. As for Lady Gagas performance, She was Amazing!

Performing most of her hits she was everything a fan would have dreamt of. She even suprised the audience with a piano version of 'Poker face'! Too bad there wasnt any photo opportunities except for the lucky chosen ones..haha dammit... lol

The one about Peiwen's birthday, roti john and Nana....

And now from one birthday we shall move on to the next one! Peiwen had specially taken the trouble to book a private function room at her place complete with food and drinks and a pool table too! Met up early with lyd and the rest for the intention of doing some grocery shopping at Novena, upon which we ajourned to Peiwens house to the function room.

The room was quite nice! I was even able to hookup my ipod with the main speakers for some tunes! The rest of the evening was filled with Pizza, Pool (Peiwen even had her personal cue) and good old catching up! Lydia and Grace decided to bestow upon Peiz their good old 'chocolate kiss' as usual though.

Made my way to cream bistro after that to meet up with Jackie and Matthew before heading to KPO for drinks. KPO was located at somerset area and apart from serving some of the best whiskey as i know it, they serve some of the best Roti John as well!

Stayed at KPO while we waited for Cash and headed together to Nana for later plans. Nana was crowded as usual and we were rather lucky to be able to get a seat. Sharky and Dawn joined us after that too!

The one about Iris's birthday.....

Well it turns out that the next few months will be filled with the birthday celebrations of family and friends and this month was of no exception. Was invited by Iris for her birthday gathering held at Mono @ Dragonfly @ St james power station (haha... I always wanted to describe it like this) Specially took leave the next day too so as to avoid any hangovers of sorts during work.

Made my way down to Vivo city slightly earlier as i had to purchase a present for the birthday girl. Also to meet up with Mr Javern Kan whom finally decided to come out of hiding to join us ( *update* Javern has went into hiding again). As many would already know, i can never ressist a good karaoke session as long as my throat permits and this was as good a opportunity as any.

It was also really good to see Iris again as she had been caught up with a lot of work for the past few months. Was also introduced to some new friends (Hi Sharon! Hi Rachel!) it was really awesome to be able to know you girls. Was also great to catch up with some other familiar faces whom i have not seen in quite a while.

To summarize it was an evening of songs, booze, laughs and pals! Anyway while i am still on topic, would like to take this time to say 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!!! You looked beautiful as always!'

The one about Burger Quest - Bellini Grande Edition

Ok, so after a temporary halt in our plans for the liberation of magnificent burgers, here i am again in my pursuit of the ultimate burger. Now this time we decided to invade the Bellini Grande that is located within Clarke Quay.

Even though i have not heard much about it beforehand but the words 'Wagyu beef' was enough to get me interested. Connie and i decided to order a serving of the mini burgers to give it shot. When the mini burgers arrived, i was very suprised to see that it was incredibly....... Well.... Mini! But it did look really appetizing.

Served together with home made potato chip, garnished with some greens i won't exactly say it was a meal now but it did serve as a most terrific snack! The combination of the Wagyu beef that melts in your mouth and deep fried buns that was crispy to the last bit was simply divine so this is definately a must try!

The One about FHM GND 2009 & Butter fact with the girls....

Met up with Lydia to attend the annual FHM girl next door competition. Time seriously flies! it seemed just like recently where i was at St james together with Iris and gang for the exact purpose.. Well, turns out that this year there are a couple of changes as compared to how the event was like the last year.

Firstly it was sponsored by Barcardi which basically meant free flow of rum throughout the night instead of the sponsorship of beer. Secondly there was only one half of th muttons hosting the event.. Yup turns out that Vernon was the only one takin charge this year but he was doing a great job as usual. Programme was pretty much the same as every year except that this time there was larger emphasis in the fashion show catwalk segments.. Ok... So at least it is not a bobby contest (pun intended) this year.

Bumped into some familiar faces as usual and Mandy (last years GND winner) happened to be there too the pass on the crown to the winner. As everyone would have already known by now, Celestina won the crown. Didn't really stayed long after that as me and lyd had to rush off to butter factory for our follow up plans for the evening and which will bring us to a second chapter of this post.

It was decided close to a week ago by my three fave drinking 'sisters' (Liza, Carene and Jessa) that they wanted to check out the newly reopened butter factory. So special thanks to Elsie we managed to secure a nice cozy table in the VIP area of fash.

Grace and SQ decided to join us too but i have to admit i was a little taken aback by the entourage that accompanied one of our friends.. Haha.. You girls popular la. With Adrian spinning at the decks that night all it took was a few more bottles of whiskey and brandy and let the party begin! In fact we did had so much fun that we even lost track of the time!

As they left early, Liza, Jessa and Carene assured me that we would have another outing soon! ON AH!!! Quick ya? Lol

The One about Licence 2 Play....

After a long night of running betwen Above & Beyond, Fuel and more i was seriously amazed that i was still able to wake up early so as to attend the Licence 2 Play gaming and electronics show. Wasnt exactly sure on what to expect even thoughi have already read a fair bit about it before.

Turns out there was plenty of talks and gaming challenges to look forward to during the show. found that it wasnt exactly the conventional gaming or electronic trade show though. So i did actually find myself slightly lost at certain times of the day. Apart from that realised that it was also the official launch of Maple story 3. Found it amazing how everyone would be willing to spend their afternoon queueing up just for some bonus in game experience points.

Huirong happened to be working at the event too dressed up in her combat gear in promotion of the game 'Sudden strike'. It was definately good to see her again. Headed over for tseamboat after that but all in all it was an event worth checking out!

The One about Dbl Os Anniversary...

Okok.... this took me a while to understand coz when i first saw the invite i was almost convincec that Dbl O has been around for 20 years but it is a little bit different from what i think. It is dbl O’s 9th and O BAR’s 11th combined Anniversaries party thus making it a total of 20 years. This theme this time was “MIXING. LISTENING. DANCING. LOOKING. 4. TWENTY. YEARS"

Thanks to Cash i managed to get in during the private pre event paty which to sum it up was basically filled with familiar faces and unlimited booze. Cash and the rest of the gang was of course working hard during the event to keep up the energy levels and making sure that every one had lots of fun! It wasnt long before i was asked to go to the party bus... first time man... hmm....

First of all i would like to clarify, this is definately not the first time i have been on the duck tours bus. But his time, it is definately an experience to remember! Mixer shots from the bottles, Carlsberg girls drowning the crowd with beer while the bus ferried everyone around the whole of town to share the joy! Totally lost my voice after that.

Went to PRB to enjoy the rest of the evening with the party crew followed by a nice steamboat supper after that. Sweeet!!!

Was once again specially invited by Ning to attend the 42 below vodka Blackmarket event held at Fashion Bar! The condition was to take loadsa photos of course. Decided to meet up with Ellery for dinner at the hotel and a warm up round of drinks at Highlander first before heading down to the location.

As the title goes the concept of the event was simply black! There was a photography booth where everyone had to hold a small sign with a specific word on it ('future', 'hope', '42'... etc) upon which a pic will be taken and it will contribute to a hude montage of photos in accordance to the theme.

The 42 below party crew was there as well handing out balloons , drinking, Judy was also manning the VIP corner where a video camera was put in to capture everyone party moments while enjoying the specially concocted 42 below vodka cocktails. It was a blast and everyone has sufficient amounts to drink!

Was invited by Cash and Ning to swing by zouk for the ready set glow event supported by 42 below vodka. Wasn't exactly sure what to expect before that but the night turned out pretty well! Chermaine and Heloise was here as well for the evening.

What turned out to be pretty awesome as well was the fact that the guest DJ was A-Trak! A little background for the benefit of those who are not clear, ATrak won the DMCs World DJ Championship in 1997 at the age of 15! He has built a steady reputation for putting out critically acclaimed vinyl releases and has recently founded a new record label, Fool’s Gold, dedicated to bring forth the crème de la crème in club music. He also happens to be Kanye West’s ex tour DJ by the way..

As expected the music was excellent and everyone just kept on dancing non stop. Coupled by dance performances by Judy, Yan and Rachel it literally got everyone screaming for more! As always it also happened to be a great day to meet new people. Nice meting ya all Natalie, Linda, Joseelyn =) And of course nice to see you again Shanas.. haha

Left after the event for Dbl O to party the remaining of the night/morning away as we were all in the mood to party! Jackie and Cash took the opportunity to dance more this time round as they didnt get much of a opportunity to at zouk... lol!

Was asked to attend Jerraines event that was happening at the butter factory in conjunction with female magazine and that was the launch of the Zen fragrance by Shiseido. For those who know me way back might know that i used to work with luxasia in the fragrances department. Won't really say i have a keen interest in it but it can be rather fascinating.

Met up with May, April and Daph for dinner prior to that. We decided to head to Timbre for their pizza! it was terrific but i do believe we did order a little too much. All turned out pretty bloated by the end. Decided to take a long walk to burn it off to One Fullerton after that.

The event turned out to be pretty mild and slow paced but as usual the company was great and the items within the goodie bag was quite awesome. Vouchers, samplers and discount coupons are always great! Horray!

Chermaine happened to be there with Ezann as well, it was a pity we didn't get to chat much as it was seriously super crowded sia. Turned out to be a rather awesome evening as well as i did bump into many friends! Turns out everyone wanted to check out butter factory! haha.... its the new in thing after all.. Till then!

Once again this was one of those days which i had to rush from place to place before heading to one final stop. So i am going to briefly skim through all the nitty gritty details unless necessary. Startedoff by heading to EMstudio with Liza for a quick drink after work. Ended ordering some Calamari and Chicken wings as well which was awesome to say the least. Upon which i had to rush off to Gretels Ballet recital at Nafa. The thing is though i have not been to many (well actually 'Any' is the word) Ballet recitals it wasn't too easy for me to learn how to appreciate it. But nevertheless it turned out to be a rather interesting experience in deed!

Next it was off to The Butter factory to meet up with Chermaine, Heloise, Jackie and gang for a quick get together session. Jackie brought his new 'squeeze' too! haha... Butter was packed as usual but it was great to be able to catch up with everyone and also the music was great! But of course the rest refused to let me leave before i had a tequila shot with them...

Understood from cash that the 42 below party crew will be performing at the Forbidden city at Indochine, so i rushed to indochine immediately after that. Checked out the 42 below chiller room that was located within the bar and it was a sight to behold indeed. A room chilled at minus 42 degrees and you were supposed to drink a vodka shot in it... now i know how the russians feel. Couldn't take pics in it as it was simple too cold!!

The last two stops of the night would be at Arena followed by Rebel. Arena's music was pretty much the same... so was rebel actually but i was too tired to tell. haha... Till the next time!

The One about Burger Quest- Balaclava edition...

This happens to be one of those random moments i had with Lydia during one of our outings. You know mid-alchoholic drink in hand random moments where you lookat you friend in the eye and make statements like 'We should start a band!!!' or 'We should have a roadtrip!!' well... i am sure you get the picture. This time however, the statement went something along the lines of 'We should try every single gourmet burger and compile a list!!!' Haha... easier said tha done.

Well, first up we decided to head to Balaclava. As it was a Wednesday and the next day was still a working day. The idea was to head to Bala, grab a burger each, maybe some wings and 1 beer! This should conclude a awesome midweek drinking session. Well... turns out it wasn't as simple as that... What started as burgers and wings ended up as burgers, wings, sausages and Chips. What started off as 1 beer ended up as a never ending moement of 'I'll just have another one' thanks to the 1 for 1 happy hour promotion.

Thank goodness Liza agreed to join us for the session so that we actually managed to finish all out drinks. And of course just like i heard, the burgers at Balaclava was simple divine. It was pretty simple i had to agree (Sesame bun, Meat patty and a piece of letuce) but there must have been some secret recipe and procedure involved in the marination of the meat patty. Sesame bun was not oily at all but as it is still a burger.. i won't say it is a healthy choice but instead dub it as a less sinful choice.

A definate must try!

Oh yes... a blog post that is late for a entire month..... yup... it is happening... dammit... Anyway this blog entry is also for the benefit of some of my dear friends who were complainingabout how i bang seh them and did not make it for their barbeque. So here was practically my entire schedule for the long awaited public holiday.

Met up with Tara for lunch and a movie of 'Wolverine Origins' I guessmost people would have probably watched the movie by now and despite the major differences the movie had as compared to the graphic novels but i would still say that i enjoyed the movie very much. Maybe it was the action sequences or maybe it was the company that was with me hahaha... no matter.

It has been a while since i caught up with Tara since she finished her intership with the hotel and it was really nice to see her again and definately put a smile to the face of mine which had been gloomy for almost a week. We talked a bit about her belated birthday as well as her future plans.

Upon sending Tara off i proceeded to Bugis to meet my family for a nice dinner of steamboat. Really enjoyed the steamboat there and finally realised that it has been a while since i had steamboat with my family.

As Ellery and Connie has not been to Butter factory b4, I thought it would be a great opportunity to show them the place after that. Opened a bottle of Vodka and it turned out to be a rather fun night too. Cash, Judy and Cheryl happened to be there too and i bumped into my ex schoolmate Mr Mohan. Even though Mayday is supposed to be a day of rest but i guess it can still be pretty eventful. Till then!

Okok... This is going to be another Suaku entry of mine. The plan was to meet up with Lydia, Lynn and her parentals for dinner before heading down to dempsey for drinks (Once again, thanks Uncle for a spendid dinner and the durian puffs!! BURP!!) As i have never been to House @ Dempsey before since the last time it was fully booked, Lydia decided to bring me there to check it out.

A little background on House @ Dempsey is that it used to be a military facility prior to this. It's official opening was at June 2007 and the two main areas are the Barracks Cafe and the Camp Bar. There also happens to be a Spa within the premises for those interested but be sure to check on the opening hours before heading down.

Turned out to be a really interesting experience indeed! The ambience was great and there was an extensive selection of Food and beverage available. Heres the thing, it wasn't just the average menu that you can find anywhere! Ranging from items like the six foot long bratwurst sausage to drinks like the Tiffin Punch (a awesome cocktail served in a Tingkat) It was indeed a eye opener for me! (I am suaku la... nvr been there b4)

Took a peep in the Camp bar area and they were spinning pretty awesome house music as well. It was a pity all of us were pretty tired to stick around too late but i am pretty sure i will be going there again soon!

The One about Cats....

Was asked by Jie a few months back whether would i be interested to catch 'CATS' the musical. I havent caught much of Andrew Loyd Webbers productions in my lifetime so i figured this would be as good a time as any.

Didn't exactly want to gatecrash the family outing of jie's alone so i decided to get Liza to join me for the musical as well. Turned out to be a little late than the time i was supposed to them as i came straight from my workout regime in the morning. As a Result the rest have already had there first round of drinks at 'Barossa' the restaurant at which we had out lunch.

The Play itself was pretty amazing! As it was the first time i am catching CATS at all (Nope... i didn't even watch it on TV). I was rather suprised that the play had realy very minimal dialouge, yes i do know it is a musical but still it was close to no dialouge at all. But that aside, there was lots of audience interaction and participation, great music and lots and lots of feline humour (pun intended).

Apart from Mr Mistofles, Another character that i was really amused by was Rum Tum Tuger who reminded me an awful lot of David Bowie! Be sure to catch it if you have the chance!

The one about Tampines One opening....

As many would have heard about the recent opening of Tampines One. The theme being 'Spring to Life' enticing everyone to spring out of the usual mundane lifestyle and into a world of fun and style! There were much activities in store and i was tasked to host the roadshow that was happening right outside the newly opened shopping complex.

Few of the different activities included games, Tampines 1 ambassadors dressed in green skirts and kangoo shoes were handing out fans and hyping up the atmosphere.There was also a Outdoor syncronised swimming performance... that was not done within a swimming pool... haha... for those who were there you will know what i mean... otherwise you would just have to rely on your imagination i guess..

Sometime in midst my gig i looked down to the basement and guess who i saw! it was Cash, Judy and Yan playing clockwork soldiers and french maids! Turned out to be a really amusing gig indeed!

The one about Butter factory 3rd Anniversary.....

Gotta catch up gotta catch up!!! Yup as mentioned in the title, it was Butter factorys 3rd Anniversary and it also happened to be the biggest event held there since it's move from robertson quay to One fullerton. As for the title of the party... it was called 'Thank F**k I'm Famous'

Heres the idea, everyone was supposed to attend the event dressed as a celebrity. This would mean this party will be filled with 'Stars'!! My orginal idea was to go as Ozzy Osbourne but ran into a little problem in trying to obtain a wig so I and Lydia therefore decided to go as Ted Mosby and Robin Sherbatsky from 'How I Met your Mother' Personally i don't think we were very convincing but it sure beats all the hassle of trying to find costumes!

The event itself was fantastic to say the least. Elsie, Celeste and gang was dressed as the Spice girls, Andrew was Ali G, there was a Borat and i was very sure i saw the members of K.I.S.S somewhere. Apart from that, there were also special performances by Dharni as well as a dance performance of the Wondergirls hit 'Nobody'

Turned out to be an Awesome night after all.... Can't wait to go butter again!

The one about Sexyback....

Okok.... before everyone starts wondering what the hell is with the title of this blog entry i am going to have to clarify that it has nothing to do with the Justin Timberlake song. It all began with Connie and Ellery organising a clubbing outing to Zouk. Turns out that i happened to be the only male lifeform within the group that was able to make it for the session and the games had just begun.

Connie and Ellery had decided to make it a 'Sexyback night'. How so? well to begin with it was mainly the choice of their clothing that mattered. It is going to take a lot of effort to be able to describe that as well as a vast imagination to be able to imagine that so i am going to save everyones trouble by just loading in some pictures.

Started the night with some light drinks at the Wine Bar followed by Jaggerbombs and beer in the mainroom. All this spelt out a recipe for immediate dancing and that was practically what we did! I also happened to be wearing the new Tqualizer Tshirt i boughta week before and would also ike to say it was a huge hit in the club! Thank you everyone for all the kind comments with regards to the Tee.

Left shortly after for butter factory to check out what it was like since after the renovation. Havent used my card for a while and this was as good a time as any. Bumped into Cash, Judy & Jackie there too! Carried on with more serious dancing and great company (Hi Esther and Regine!) before Cash got be pretty wasted with 2 shots of Bacardi 151s. First time i tried that drink and oooooh boy.........

It had been a great night!!!

The One about Ari's Birthday...

Okok... This is kind of an Embarassing... The Idea was to go with the entire S&M team to a nice Itallian restaurant located in Bukit Timah area for a nice lunch as a departmental outing as well as to celebrate Aris Birthday. But here is the thing, i TOTALLY forgot what is the name of the restaurant! Oh well.. guess i will just briefly describe the experience.

First up the ambience was really great, from the setting the lighting a some soft talian opera music. it really sets the mood for a good meal. Personally i felt that it would be a great place to bring ones other half for a nice romantic dinner but then again, lunch is great too!.

So what we did was to order a main dish each to share it among everyone, giving us a chance to try out almost anything. Risotto, Vongole pasta and i ordered lagsane as a personal favourite to try it out. Also not to be missed was the beef Carpaccio which tasted awesome. We were also given a nice Flaming chocolate desert as a treat! A fantastic experience that i thoroughly enjoyed and would like to go back again... haha..

The One about Heineken Green Room....

Recieved an invitation to the first Heineken Green room event of 2009. It was to be held at the F1 pitt building which was located near the Singapore flyer. After much pestering i managed to conveince Liza to attend the event with me so that was pretty much exactly what we did after after leaving the office.

The Drinking area was organised by the people of Zouk and even thought the main highlight of the evening is Heineken beer., but of course other beverages were being served as well. Spinning at the decks for the evening were DJ-Producer Sinden from the London and Australian duo Act Yo Age from the Sydney DJ scene. With that taken care of, i was getting ready for a fabulous evening.

It turned out to be a fantastic evening for me as i did bump into many familiar faces that i have not caught up with for a long time! Old Secondary school pals, Iris and Lyze who were working at the event too! Had lots of fun! Go Green!

The One about Belvedere Beat...

Was invited to the The Belvedere BEAT party together with Jie. Wasn't really sure of what the event was about so i ended up being pretty stunned at how elaborate the set up of the event was.

Turns out that it's a huge party thrown by Belvedere Vodka in conjunction with Clarke Quay's anniversary. As such there was food and Entertainment sponsored by the different outlets all located within Clarke Quay itself. Drinks were on a freeflow basis courtesy of the guys from Belvedere Vodka of course. There are situations where you can tell that it is going to be a great event the moment you step in and this was one of them.

The party included parkour performances by Sydney's Parkour group and exhibitions of artwork by Momorobo (a Singaporean collective of graphic artists). There were also cocktails created specially for this occasion and they turned out pretty good!

Stayed longer than we orginall intended to at this event and i was pretty glad that i was invited. Food was Great, Entertainment was least to say Entertaining and of course not to mention bumping into common friends as well.

The one about Beckies Birthday...

The birthdays just keeps coming on and on and on and of this time it is Beckies special day! The stage was set and all the partners in crime were present. So here was what actually happened on the day.

Beckie have booked a room in Swissotel Merchant court and the idea was to have a casual celebration there. My task was to bring in some tunes so the Laptop it is! We had quite a blast in the hotel room trying to dance to the music before heading down to Sapporo Ramen for dinner. Here comes the tricky part, I and Lydia had to rush back to the hotel before the others so that we may get the cake and the lights out timing ready and correct for the birthday girl.

Turned out we got it right and it was a success! On came the music and everybody took their time to take pictures with the birthday girl. Upon which we all adjourned to Rebel for a longer night of partying! Till then! but before i take off from here.. Happy birthday Becks!

The one about Thai Disco....

Met up with Daphne and gang (Lyn, Tim, Lavina, her sis etc....) for a nights out after a long and taxing week. So heres the plan, to gather at Hard rock cafe for a nice dinner/drinks followed by listening to a set by the band 'Energy' followed by adjourning to the nearby Thai disco to check things out.

Turned out that i managed to grab a good friday dinner with parents at kuishinbo prior to that so by the time i actually reached HRC, i was already pretty stuffed. But i did grab a few cranberry juices there while appreciating the Rockin sounds of Energy! They were seriously awesome i tell you. Will definately have to drop by one of these days again to catch them in action. Paid a short visit to the merchandise store with daphne and managed to get myself a limited Bon Jovi HRC T-shirt. Managed to get Daphne a small furry gift too so in any case. It was Awesome!

Headed over to Bangkok Thai disco to check it out. Was rather suprised that the place was still pretty decent! The band performed quite a vast repetoir of songs and all of us was pretty amused and entertained by the end. Daphne even got a picture with the 'HEH' guitarist but i shall not reveal the picture here!

Perhaps we were there a bit too early thus the crowd wasn't too wild to say the least. Ended up taking the bottle of vodka we ordered home as we could finish it on the spot. But not before swinging by Orchard towers to take a look! How was it? Well..... lets just say i rather not go there for a while... cheers!

The one about April's Birthday....

It's Aprils birthday!!! And there were lots that was planned and also to execute. So here was the plan... It was off to bugis street with the rest for a nice steamboat dinner. It has been a while since all of us (May, daph, apes, joey, shaun, ben, jav, raine) managed to meet together for steamboat. Dinner was awesome except for the fact that it took a quite a while of waiting before we were given a table that was not big enough for all of us. But nevertheless we did not let that spoil our evening.

So here it was, lotsa food and drinks before i and raine escaped to Bugis junction Swensens to collect the Winnie the pooh Ice cream birthday cake for the birthday girl. It was quite funny as we were trying to suprise April with the cake but she was standing up the whole time when we were back! Still managed o sneakily set up the birthday cake eventually.

The night was still pretty young after dinner so we decided to head over for some drinks. Once again due to special invitation by Cash, we got ourselves a table at Arena for another 42 below party. There was a special performance by Cash and his Crew as well as a 'Manhunt' hosted by none other than comedian Kumar!

Other than that it was Drinks galore as well as great company and dances. Suprisingly everyone was pretty sloshed by the end of the evening with exceptio of the birthday girl. HAHA.... HAPPY BDAE APES!!

The one about Earth Hour......

Promised Daphne that i would attend the Earth hour event which Gold 90fm was the offical station for. Lights off timing was to be at 8pm all the way to 9pm while the concert will be ongoing. It was a mini carnival of sorts as there were many booths with various activities and not to mention special performances by different artistes!

Reverie(Resident band of M hotel) was performing there as well as Dawn Ho. Finaly i managed to get a copy of her CD! YAY!!! This event was organised by the WWF, so there was also a huge panda mascot that we managed to take a photo with. the lights off started promtly at 8pm and everyone enjoyed the night with candle lights.

Turned out that this was an event to remember. I am definately glad to be a part of it. Will be looking forward to next years Eartyh hour!

The One about Cyril Niccolai...

Okok.... apparently there is a huge amount of backlog on my blog so i am going to try to complete it by doing one post per day. Was invited by Daphne to attend Cyril Niccolai's showcase at Hard Rock cafe. Now while little may be known about this French Rock artiste, i coincidentally came across his work on the almighty YOUTUBE!!! haha.....

Lyn and Denise were there too and thus began a night of good food, drinks and excellent music! Turns out that someone actually donated a total of $5000 to the Boys home so as to bring Cyril back to singapore for another charity concert. and Even though he did not perform the song in particular that i liked. I still hafta admit that the performance was pretty impressive.

Special mention to the Crab Dip that Daphne ordered that evening. It was Fabulous!!! a definate must try if you are gonna dine at Hard Rock Cafe! We all stayed a while longer for 'Energy''s set (So that they can play lyn's favourite song) before heading to the merchandise store to check out Tshirts!

The one about Mambo & Sol Beer....

The plan was to meet up in the hotel with the gang for a quick dinner before making our way to Zouk for Mambo night! Turned out that Lester had an event at Zouk. It was a Sol Beer party! The thing is i have always wanted to attend a Sol event (have heard quite a bit about it previously) but never actualy had the opportunity to. This turned out to be a good opportunity as any!

To summarize how the event was, Beer, beer and more beer!! Haha... jus kidding coz there were other activities as well such as airbrush tattoos, drink ambassadors (that both came in the form of June and Cordy haha..... ) and moving golden greek god statues! But of course with all the excellent company and all it turned out to be a night of awesome fun! Headed over to Velvet to meet up with some of Ell and Bens friends who turned out to be fans of the 'How i met your Mother' Tv series as well! So there we go... instead of an Awesome night... it has just turned LEGENDARY!!!

The One about Mardi Gras Lah and Grace's Birthday...

It was a Saturday and the original plan was to meet up for Gracie Pants birthday which was a nice Japanese buffet dinner at Serene Centre followed by drinks. Was not able to make it for the first as i was hosting the Crazy Weekend Sales by C.H.A.I emporium located at Liang Court atrium. The event turned out to be pretty fun and I managed to catch up with an old friend (Farhan) too! He happened to be the manager for a shop that was dealing with faded Tshirts in Liang Court as well so be sure to check that out!

The Gig went on pretty well and all went on as planned. Thanks to Grace, i managed to recieve some invites to a stand up comedy that was held at the Belini Grande! This was all in conjunction with the 'Mardi Gras Lah' festival that was organised by Fly entertainment. The stand up comedy routines by Irene Ang, Jino and Loungezilla really cracked me up that night! The company was great too (Adlina, Leroy and Germaine).

Grace, Lydia and gang joined in for drinks at Bellini Grande after that and thar began a night of Dancing, great music and two bottles of Moet! couldn't stay late as i had a gig the next day as well but we surely had a lot of fun that night! Happy Birthday Grace!

Promised to attend the Cleo Bachelors event so as to support Alex and of course here we are! Decided to go early as we wanted to be able to grab a seat and Boy were we wrong... It seemed that there was a long queue for everyone to enter to the premises (Zirca) and most of the people were there to support Vivian Dawson (The winner by the end of the night) So although we didn't manage to get a seat we still managed to get a nice spot to flash our Banners and blow our whistle to convey our support for Alex.

Event went on pretty well and it was hosted by Hossan and Jaqueline Chow which both i think did a terrific job. (Jaq is pretty since i last saw her on the Starhub commercial!) There were many games and performances throughout the night that kept everyone pretty much entertained.

Stayed for a while longer at the end of the event while all the girls snuck off to take pictures with the bachelors. As usual we bumped into some familiar faces again. Ended up by going to Macs for Supper/Dinner. Haha... Till then!

Met up with May, Apes , Daph and gang to go to Arab Street for Dinner and Sheesha. Daphne made a Reservation at this particular place that served rather good Turkish cuisine as what we were told. Turns out that the food was terrific just like what we heard! I on a seperate note loved the place for its smoking dining rooms... lol Proceded with our Dinner folowed by a helping of Apple flavoured Sheesha.

Rushed down to Powerhouse after that for 987s monthly RSVP party. This time it is held in conjunction with Lady Gaga's new album. Its always good to meet up with the crew and it was also a pleasant suprise to bump into quite a few of my Old friends from School and the Army. Turns out to be a huge success in terms of the number of people showing up considering the fact that there was a heavy rain prior and during the event.

Event ended earlier than expected and Des had to join the rest at Bar None. As the night was still young, I decided to head down to J Bar to link up with the rest. Yuru and Nick joined us for the night of great music and drinks too!

The One about Connie's Birthday....

Oh yes... as mentioned in the previous post, the evening wasn't done yet! Coz right after i was done with Lush's 4th anniversary the next event i had to rush to was none other that sister Connies Birthday Celebration.

First it was off to Howl @ the moon again for the first round of the celebration. Music as usual was fantastic and of course the amount of booze that everyonehas ordered for the night. But all that aside there was a purpose that night and that was to celebrate Connie's birthday. As usual, she was given the Howl treatment and she chose to spin the wheel! spinning....spinning...spinning... and landed on 'Lapdance'! Thats the good news........ the bad news was Connie chose me to be the one to give the lapdance to her! oh man... Embarassment la....

Shortly after the Lychee Martini cake was served, Birthday Song was sung, Champagne was served too! On a seperate note, everyone at Howl that night had a slice of cake! Finished up everything before we headed to Ibis hotel for the second part of Connies Birthday.

Reached the hotel and did the first thing that is to be done. Stock up on food and drinks! Went up to the room and proceeded with a night of Card games, music, snacks and complaining Hotel Managers (LOL). In short i think everyone had a fantastic evening... So once again.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNIE!

The one about Lush 4th Anniversary....

As i was once again event hopping on this day looks like i am gonna have to split up the posts once more. Anyway, was invited to the Lush's 4th Aniversary held at Zirca. It has certainly been a while since i attended the famous Lush parties. I still recall the last one being held at Helipad (which Dad came along). Knowing this was going to be a blast and also that most of my friends will be there, i decided to RSVP for the event.

Whats more, it turned out that the event also happens to be the Album launch of Dawn Ho! Now for the benefit of those that do not know her, Dawn happens to be a fantastic Local Jazz singer. Have been a huge fan of hers ever since i attended one of her recitals many years ago and through sheer luck and chance, somehow got to know her personally and have been friends since. Have been pretty excited about the album since the day she talked about it so i told myself i got to check it out.

Hossan was being a terrific host for the evening, both by making sure the event stayed lively and secondly by making sure evryone stayed sober by personally handing out Pepp pills! It was a night of Good Music (X Ho and Drew on the DJ Decks). Loadsa drinks and finger food availble. And of course a great night to catch up with everyone and meeting of new people (Lavinia, Jam, Galvin) Nice to meet you all!

Had to run off after the event for Connies Birthday celebration but i guess that will have to wait till my next post. Till then!

The one about Carene's wedding.......

After getting myself almost mixed up with the correct date and location of the wedding, tried to get a correct copy of the script and also ensuring that i am sober the night before. I finally made it for Carenes wedding to be the emcee of the happy occasion. Wouldn't exactly be the first time i am doing this but somehow the thought of hosting an event in mandarin to a crowd of close to 450 pax alone still triggers a certain level of discomfort to me. But no matter, nothing that a pint of beer and a pack of cigerettes couldn't solve.

The event itself went very well and i was truly impresed by the amount of effort that everyone has put in to make the event a success. Ranging from the decorations, the trance music, door gifts, MTV montage..... everything was simply perfect. I actually felt that this is one of the most interesting wedding ceremonies that i have attended in a long time.

Anyway, i would like to just say that i am honoured to be part of it and once again Congratulations to Louis and Carene!

The one about Ellery's Birthday.....

It was Ellery's birthday and i was supposd to meet everone for her celebration held at Pasir Ris followed by Drinks at Zouk. Thing was that i had to meet Rachael for dinner and i really wanted to pop by White bar to see Joey after that even though it was for a short while. So i informed that i could only make it for drinks at Zouk and immediately started by location hopping once again.

It was great to see Joey again as she was helping out at White Bar. Shawn was there to support as well. As i was running late, went out with Joey for a smoke before rushing down to Zouk. Zouk was packed s usual but it was great to see everyone there in full strength. Thank goodness Ellery was still pretty sober when i got there so i was still able to wish her a happy birthday. Javern, Me and Lester bought her a bottle each and got the party started.

Was Introduced to other cool ppl that night too like Ben, Gladys, Kaixin and just want to say it is great meeting you all! hahaha... Party animals...... Bumped into Lovynn as i was about to leave as well. So hee it is again.... HAPPY BDAY ELLERY!

Time has passed and it seems like just yesterday where i was planning for Vday 2008. Felt just a little depressing after recalling what i had just 365 days ago, what happened after and whats happening right now. No matter... this is not the place for the rants that i have.

Due to everything that has happened though.... the thought of spending Vdae alone this year really got to my head... However, recieved a call that afternoon from Casse asking if i was free for dinner and since i had to go out to check on geting a new phone, i thought i might as well meet up with friends. Sure beats staying at home anyway.

Met up with Casse and a suprise appearance by Huirong and met a new friend Stephy too... had dinner at the Thai restaurant located at the 2nd floor before the rest had to head of for their dates respectively.

Head off to join Joey and the rest at Helipad after that for some drinks and i must really say that i was really happy to see her after so long... even though it was for a little while... Got some gifts fo everyone coz after all it is Valentines day before enjoying the rest of the night. Night meeting everyone!

Nope it wasn't exactly deliberate but i sorta accidentally promised to attend the below mentioned events that happened to be on the same day.

1) Drinks with Ah Sa and Jie

2) Butter Factories Last session of Butter Cookies at Robertson

3) Cash's Birthday at Dbl O

Tried to Wriggle my way out of 1) at first.. but felt bad la.... especiallywhen Ah Sa gave me the 'You bluff me!!' look and Jie started Pouting. And So we decided to head to Howl at the Moon for a night of Pizza (It was Awesome!), Beer, Chicken Wings and lotsa Laughs. Even at this stressful period it is great to see eveyone had a awesome night.

Next I rushed down to Butter factory To find Andrew for the last session of Butter cookies that is to be held at Robertson Quay. Coincidentally bumped into Terrence and Shirlyn as well! Was also Introduced to another fellow Liverpool Fan Vijay who should be heading to Anfield right about now for his well deserved tour! Good for ya mate! Following that it was plenty of great music, Wine and Great Company.

Rushed over to Dbl O after that to meet up with Cash for his birthday. Well apparently Cash and Rachel were both Working on that day too... although i still think of it as a ultimate ploy just to get cash down so that he can get drunk... haha... No matter. Jie and I actually got Cash a Present before hand. Inspired by his wearing of Bright Orange Coloured Socks, We got him a Zippo Lighter of the same Colour! Hahaha!!! Met up with Rachel, Advin, Jackie, Judy, Leslie, Matt, Chris and everyone else once again just like old times. It was also great to be introduced to some new ppl there.. (Was actually kinda smitten by one of them too...hmm)

Overall, It was a night of Fun and great Company. Till the next one!

And Back to Part 2 of the CNY celebations which i held on the 5th day of the New Year!

Once again i would really like to express my deepest thanks to everyone who attended the party! Initially i thought planning 2 parties was going to be quite a mistakes but after witnessing the turnout.. i was simply overwhelmed!

Food was simply amazing his time round, i myself actually had several helpings of the hong kong noodles! Javern was here once again with Lydia, Grace, CP, Denise, MR and Becky... Was supposed to Gamble with them but thank god i wriggled my way out of it! haha.... Switched on the Russel Peters DVD and played it Safe.

Many Other friends came as well and all of a sudden i was glad i took the liberty of making Cheese Nachos and Jello Shots to add on to the Catered food items. well..... I think my Nacho making skills still needs improvement but the Jello Shots Turned out Pretty Fine!

Spent the Rest of the Evening Playing the Wii (Which Shauna had fun with... hahaha) Bridge (Which Alex had fun with....) and of course regular Chit Chatting as well.. Once again would really want to thank all those that showed up on both days! Love you all!

The one about CNY House party pt 1...

Due to the fact that Chinese new year is on the begining of the week. I recieved mixed reactions from everyone on which day they could attend for the house party of mine so what the heck! We decided to hold 2 parties this year!

Firstly a big thanks to all Relatives and friends that came on the first day! Special mention to Jie who brought over a Pineapple pie from Carousel! Javer, Ellery and Connie for being one of the earliest to arrive, cuzzy dearest who managed to make it even though she was very tired, Dior who managed to make it after all.. and of course Cash, Judy, and Jacky who never failed to support whenever and wherever

Helped ourselves to some great food before, going ahead with some card games and all. Cash and Gang got a consultation from my Dad! And I finally managed to play 'Lu Xiao Yu' on piano properly thanks to Jie!!

The one about Pre CNY....

Had a pre CNY 'Lo Hei' Session/Celebration with the guys from my workplace as it was approaching the coming year of the Ox. As usual, bonding over a nice meal with everone is always a great idea (Plus there were loadsa free food so yum) It was also great to be able to gather around everyone and chuck the working stress aside for the moment.

Also met up with Lydia, Grace, Denise, SQ and Beckie to party at Dbl O after that. It has seriously been a while since i went there and it was nice to see some familiar faces there again. Chilled for a while at the New Art Lounge and realised they had a pretty good band too!

Went Back to the rest and bought Lyddie and Denise their first Flaming lambourginis... hahaha they enjoyed it!! woohoo!!!

The one about Singapore Tattoo Show...

Right after a whole night of partying at Zouk with AVB Live in Singapore, decided to meet up with Daphne and Jav to attend the 1st Singapore Tattoo show held at Singapore Expo. Was rathe excited to check it out as it was the first time such an event was held here and moreover there would be a guest appearance by Chris Garver of Miami Ink!

Spnt the day checking out all the different booths and various designs before heading to the queue at the Miami ink booth to get the autograph by Chris Garver himself. It was a pretty long wait and i had to put up with people treating me like a human gantry asking to pass through the queue, but the trance music that the DJ was spinning made the wait much more pleasurable. And besides, It was Chris Garver! Well worth the wait la...

Finally managed to get my poster autographed and got a picture taken with him before heading to the merchadise booth to grab a Tshirt and the show booklet. This being a first experience for me made me seriously contemplate on getting a tatt myself. Am thinking on getting a shark..... but let me just sit on it for a while.

Had dinner at the Chicken Rice Shop located at Vivo City before heading to Powerhouse to chill with some friends! Well, in general, it is a great day and a even better weekend so to speak!

The one about Armin Live in Singapore!

Had dinner at the hotel once again with Lora, Daphne Galvin and Jenn for a while before heading down to Zouk to join in the long queue with Javern coz Armin Van Buuren in in town for his 'A State of Trance tour' baby!

The queue was indeed very long by the time we got there but my hats off to the security personell on duty that day who managed to keep things under control and sucessfully prevented people from cutting the queue (Well... mostly at least). Bumped into Chermaine at the qeue but was shooed off by the security as they though we were cutting the queue.... lol

Daphne Joined us shortly after her diner and managed to get us in through the priority entrance! The first thing we did was to find a appropriate corner to park ourselves before filling up the area with drinks. The opening DJ was alright i guess but it wasn't long before Zouk was filled with shouts of 'ARMIN! ARMIN! ARMIN!' and anticipation of his arrival. And just as it was well worth the wait, Armin's set finally begun at 1am.

The music was great, the crowd was wild and drinks was plenty. It took me close to an hour and a half to slowly squeeze my way to the front but i did it anyway and got Armin to autograph my CD for me! Spent the rest of the evening/morning shuffling to the music.haha Come back soon pls Armin!

The one about Jewel box...

Met up with Chermaine and Heloise at the hotel for dinner. Hel was having a bad day la, so wanted to cheer her up. Food was great as usual, and we decided to go to a place to chill after dinner.

Met up with Cherm and Hel's friend Jackie who happened to be around the corner. After a short brainstorming session on where we should go to chill, Jackie suggested that we check out the Jewel Box as it had one of the coolest toilets there! (I had a funky tummy you see) And as it turned out, it did had the COOLEST washroom i have ever seen! complete with an aquarium and a couch! lol...

As it was still within the 12 days of christmas there was also a Snow show and cover charge is inclusive or a cable car ride all the way to Sentosa and back which we experienced before heading to the bar area for drinks. Ambience was excellent, Service was great and of course the quality of food was fantastic as well. will definately check it out again!

The one about Goodbye Robertson!

Decided to drop by butter factory to what was supposed to be the last weekend where butter factory is still going to be at Robertson Quay, part of the 'Goodbye Robertson, Hello Fullerton campaign' and since i still had a bottle of vodka left from the previous Absolute Masquerade party i thought i might as well make a trip there. But who should i bump into while making my way there but none other that Chung! Haha It has been a long while sweets! Managed to catch up over a drink at the Highlander and me spending half the time being fascinated over the dish she ordered for a snack... lol it was really nice seein ya again babe. Nownow... back to Butter Factory.

Music was fantastic that particularly i had to say! Both at the Art Bar as well as the main dance area. Bumped into Lester who happened to be coming to butter along with his friends as well and invited then to join us at our table, this as a result multiplied the amount of alchohol on our table threefold! Thank god i am excused from drinking too much!

Turned out to be a a rather busy night as i was running both between the Mum Champagne VIP area and the Art Bar. But nevertheless has a wonderful evening catching up with friends and meeting new ones as well!

Only 10 more posts to my 500th post! Hahaha... Anyway just as i was having doubts about how to celebrate to coming new year this time, recieved an invitation from Jerraine and Alex to their room located at PanPacific Hotel for a casual gathering/celebration as well as to see the Fireworks at Marina Bay.

Met up with Javern, Jerraine at City hall before heading to the Hotel together. Made a stop at the City Link 7-11 to buy 3 cans of Asahi Beer specially for Crystal first before heading straight to the hotel. Proceeded to the Rooms shortly to chillout over drinks, Television , Fireworks and the highlight of the evening..... NINTENDO Wii!!!! hahaha... Thanks to Alex and Jerraine i think i got pretty hooked onto the system! I think the first thing i am gonna do after getting the my new TV is to get a Wii myself!

Crystal joined us for the countdown as well and i have to say that the view for the fireworks was really awesome! It was the first time i actually saw so much life in the city after midnight. Was rather suprised that the secuirt went door to door knocking in each room after dark to check on everyone though.... hahaha were we that noisy? Lol...

Left the hotel with Javern after that to Gluttons Square for Chicken Wings before calling for a cab home. To summarize.. i would like to say it has been a great NYE 2008!

The One about the Absolute Masquerade...

Was Emceeing a wedding for Karen (An Old friend) at Velocity Tung Lok restaurant. Was initially a little worried if i would be able to deliver as i was having a slight fever and runny nose, Thank goodness Panadol Prevailed at the end! lol... finished off the gig asap and headed down to Butter Factory to met up with Javern for the Absolute Vodka Masquerade event.

It turned out to be a rather interesting party! As the name of the theme 'Masquerade' says it all, there were many people dressed in outfit to suit the theme. There were also other stuffs to take note such as the bottles of Vodka were presented in a cover that resembled a Ladies Dress, found it to be rather artistic. To add on to the fun, Martinis were served in Champagne flutes and Cocktails were served in Martini glasses. A very interesting Implementation!

Heloise and Vince joined us shortly after. It has seroiously been a while since i saw the both of them! Well... more so for Vince coz it has been close to 3 years since i saw him. Andrew popped by too to prevent me from leaving early! hahahaha.........

The One about Boxing Day....

It was Boxing day and the plan was to have a potluck Xmas celebration at Denise's place with friends. Spent quite sometime thinking what am i supposed to contribute for the evening and a Episode of 'Friends' inspired me to come up with Jello shots. Well, As it turned out the Jello Shots was quite a success! Would definately make it again for house parties.

The Food as contributed by everyone was amazing! There was a whole lot of Churros, there was Tom Yum fried beehoon that tasted awesome as well as lots more. Topped it up with a Ice Cream Log Cake before everyone decided to start off with the Jagger Bomb session.... BOMBS AWAY!

As soon as we were done with that, began the Gift Exchange between everyone and their Secret Santas! Mine happened to be Beckie (Loved the Pen girl!!!) Thank you everyone for all the presents and candy! Decided to start with a game of Twister after that, Lets just say that Alchohol + Twister = Chaos!!!! Merry Xmas!

The One about Christmas....

It was Christmas eve and i was originally intending to spend the evening with a good dinner with my family before heading down to a bar for some standard wings and beer while counting down to the much anticipated day itself. However, as i was requested to be the designated Hotel Santa Clause for the day some adjustments had to be made to my original plans.

Invited my Dad, Mum and Bro over to Tien Court for a great Xmas eve dinner! A little pricey, but i figured since i was unable to have Xmas eve dinner with them i reckoned the next best thing was to keep them in close proximity during the dinner period! So as my family were having their xmas dinner, i decided to go around the entire hotel 'Hohoho~ing' away and terorizing the rest of my collegues (That inclues you Tara! and thanks for the chicken wings!). It was happy and nice to see all the happy faces around.

Gatecrashed Joey's Xmas party that was also held in my hotel after that and special credit to Joey who managed the decorations in the place all by herself! There was lots of food and drinks to go around that evening and not to mention the Special pasta made by Joey and the party packs that was sponsored by Daphne!

Spent the remaining of the evening playing Twister and other games with everyone (Never knew that it could actually be that tiring. And of course followed by the Xmas countdown followed by the gift exchange session! Recieved a lot of col gifts that i am thankful for from everyone so i would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone for them! Merry Xmas!

The one about a Howling happy hour!!!

Recieved a call from Connie a week before the event that she was the lucky winner of the private happy hour party that was held at Howl atg the moon! It was also very sweet of Connie for the invitation to the event. Had a prior engagement before the party so headed down as soon as i could.

As usual the atmosphere and energy in the place never fails to amuse and entertain me. Whats more was that this time we actually managed to pull off a prank on Connie herself! Lets just say we changed the quote of the day to something more interesting that got her called up on stage!

With all the alchohol that was consumed that day, It was only a matter of time where everyone started to bring the dancing on to the stage. Special mention to Connie and Ellery who were the dancing queens of the night! As for the new frieds we met that night (Pat, Kate) Hope to meet up with you guys again soon!

The one about Zoukout!!!

Have been looking to this event for almost the entire year! Yes it is none other than Zoukout! Managed to purchase Zoukout passes at discounted rates thanks to Daphne (thanks babe!) Met up with everyone early before making our way to Sentosa and taking a slow walk along the beach to the Zoukout party area.

As it was the first Zoukout for many of us, we decided to do a little exploring at the whole area. It was filled with many awesome booths to be checked out! I managed to get a Zoukout T-Shirt for myself in the process too! Decided to check out the musical area after that and it was filled with performances from many different artists (Nouvelle Vague, Electrico) as well as music of many different Genres (Electro, Hip Hop, Retro) There was something for all and everyone was dancing the night away!

Managed to get outselves access to the Heineken, Chivas, 42 Below & Singtel VIP tentages as well though it really isn't something to be really proud of, but it definately helped to spice up the entire party! Singtel for providing the 2 hours free flow and 42 below for having the most happening booth in the whole area with dancers, caricature artists and more!

Danced all the way till 3am before DJ Sasha started his set for the night. It was a pity that we did not manage to stay till Above and Beyong started theirs though. But no matter! there will always be another time! Can;t wait for ZOUKOUT 2009!!!

The one about the C.H.A.I emporium launch....

Recieved an invite to the launch party of the CHAI Fashion Emporium located at the 1st floor of Liang Court and decided to attend it with Connie and Adeline. Now just a little introduction about it, CHAI actually stands for : cosmetics.home.apparel.intimates (It also happens to be the surname of the owner)

This all new fashion emporium is nothing like i have ever seen before! In fact i strongly believe that there is something for everyone right in that store. Ranging from items such as cosmetics by well known brands to even designer toys by the guys from Play Imaginative. Apart from that, the outlet is also connected to a Blush! lingerie boutique specially for the ladies.

The event was definately a blast in my books. Each person was given a goodie bag filled with items upon entry. Apart from that, they were also given a card which contained directions to certain booths for other freebies. I was a little lazy to collect the additional items so i headed straight to the refreshment area followed by some casual Shopping and the Fasion show.

Definately had a lot of fun during the event and it was also a great opportunity to catch up with some friends too! Once again, Special thanks to Shauna for the invite!

The one about Red, Blue and Gold

Met up with Edwina for a day of Shopping, Ktv and icecream before heading over to Rebel for an event that i have been looking forward to for quite a while already. It was the Red, Blue and Gold party that organised by a few members from the Acsian community. Thus, linked up with a few old friends (a.k.a Jeff, Chris & Max) to attend the event... Javern came too!

Quite suprisingly i was rather impressed with what the event had to offer! Popcorn and Candy Floss machines as well as Ice cream carts too! Needless to mention there were also many hotties selling Vodka ribena drinks in school waterbottles (haha... rather cute actually) All profits were donated to the M.I.L.K foundation. The Event ended with a auction of the Hotties! (both Male and Female) hahaha....

It was great catching up with old friends finding out what they had been up to upon graduation... rather nostalgic la.. But also it was a night of partying too! Great to me able to hang out with everyone again!

The one about Suprises....

Organised a Dinner/ KTV belated birthday celebration for May. The whole outing/celebration was planned under the context that it was going to be a casual dinner with Me and Jav only. What May didn't know was that i had a couple of suprises in store for her.

Suprise #1: When May arrived at the Dining place (Pasta de waraku) Francesca was there waiting with me and Javern! Soonly after, Jerraine appeared during our dinner as well! This was after Jerraine orginally informed May that she couldn't make it due to work committments of course.

Suprise #2: We finished our dinner and headed over to Kbox for a karaoke session were suprise #2 awaited May. This suprise was none other than Daphne and April who appeared for the party with a cake! (From Nydc some more... Wah... nice!) We had lotsa fun singing and dancing to some old tunes from the karaoke system while i concurrently awaited the arrival of the special guest (Suprise #3)

Suprise #3: This suprise arrived late because she was caught in a jam. And it was none other than Joey who was supposed to be in Hong kong at that period of time. May was pleasantly suprised of courseand i breathed a sigh of relieve. Hahaha... keeping secrets is tough work!

The one about Twilight...

Attended 987fms latest RSVP party thanks to invitation from Desiree! Decided to attend with Mellisia, Pearlyn, Jav and PJ. Was rather excited as this time the party was a tie in with the novel (and now movie) 'Twilight'.

The idea of the party was for everyone to dress in in black. Make up artists were there to make everyone more 'vampiric' and everyone were given a pair of fangs to put on as well! All this was done as 987fm was trying to organise an attempt to break a world record fo having the most people dressed as vampires in a single location on one night. It was pretty cool actually!

Seeing every dressed in the Emo/goth fashion was something that i have not checked out before. There were vampires of every style, enthnicity ad age too!! If there is ever a part 2 of this event, you can rest assured that i will be there. Head over to the butter factory after that to meet up ith Lyddie, Grace and Denise for a night of Dancing!

Haha.... i was thinking of different possible titles for the particular entry and somehow i decided to settle with this one. Was supposed to link up with Javern first at CQ before meeting up with Cash to decided on a place to chill for the rest of the evening. As we had quite a lot of time to kill we decided to walk around the entire Clarke Quay area to check out the newly opened outlets.

As we were walking around, we came across a Xmas Greeting Billboard sponsored by Heineken! A really pretty girl came by and invited us to put up our own greeting by putting in pegs on the billboard. It was rather difficult as the pegs kept falling out but we managed to finish a word 'Beer!' in the end (The girl was really cute la... didn't wanna dissapoint her)

Decided to chill at Yello Jello after that (A new Retro Bar that took over the original location of Kandi Bar) and coincidentally bumped into Des who was attending the heineken event there as well! Had a couple of beers and checked out the Band which was very 'Archie' like if you know what i mean. We managed to stay till 12 b4 finally heading to Bellini Grande and Rebel to find Cash, Sam, Judy and Matt to party the night away.

Recieved invites to the preview of Zirca (Previously MOS) courtesy of Javern. And as i havent been clubbing for quite a while already, decided it would probably be a good idea to check it out!

Linked up with Connie and gang at the entrance before proceeding in for the event. Bumped into Terrence and Shirlyn as well who took the opprtunity to introduced Shermin and Sharon who were also making their way into the Club.
The Ambience of the location was great! Imagine a fusion or MOS together with the likes of Atticca and Crazy horseand you will get Zirca. There were a couple of Dance and Percussion Performances as well a 'dance' item performed by two ladies in a suspended pool of water (you gotta see it to be able to understand la)

Overall it was a great event! Special thanks to Shermin who managed to squeeze into the crowd of people to get drinks for everyone!

The one about AFA 2008....

Have been hearing a lot of hype about the Anime Fest Asia 2008 (AFA 08) for the past few months and thought that it would be a great idea to check it out with my bro. haha..... bonding la... after all he likes anime too!

I didn't expect to actually go about this initially but my bro managed to convince me that it would be a swell idea to purchase the VIP passes for Ichirou Mizukis concert on the first day of the convention. I would not consider myself as a huge fan of his, but then again i do recall my childhood days when i was singing along to theme songs of cartoons like Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Mazinger Z. to I decided to make the purchase and go ahead with the experience.

The convention itself was quite a blast as well! It was everything i imagined it to be and much much more. Bought myself a couple of toys/gadgets (garden fairy, money chewing coin bank, art work reprints, posters) there were also quite a number of cosplayers during the event as well as toy displays that were real cool!

Apparently i wasn't the only person that was interested in all this coz boh me and bro bumped into quite a couple of familiar faces there as well, some working and others well...not working...

The concert for Ichirou Mizuki was simply fantastic! Aniki showcased his very best in terms of vocal quality as well as passion. What was even more cool was me and bro being selected for a autograph session from Aniki! Managed to get the autograph, a pic taken with him too.. I can't wait for the next!

The one about a Silent Disco...

Recieved an Invite to the first Silent disco that was to be held at Loof! Wasn't really sure of the concept of it all initialy but i was really motivated to go because firstly i have been wanting to check out loof for the longest time and secondly the concept of a silent disco party sounded pretty intriguing.

Met up with Denise, Graciepants, Qin, Jav and Lyddie to attend the event along and it was accompanied by a whole lot of fun! Upon entry each guest is loaned a pair of headphones (Which will be the source of your musical entertainment for the night) It looked pretty strange at first checking out people dancing without music at first, but as soon as the headphones were on, it soon became clear what everything was about.

The were two different genres of music for the night, Electro as well as Hip-Hop which was spinned by none other than Andrew T! Pretty cool to see all the familiar faces once again and i dare say that i am glad to be part of this event. Can't wait for the next one!

OMG.... i have seriously been lagging in the updating of my blog here...so i will try to cramp everything in 1 single post today. Firstly was the celebration of Lyddiepants birthday held at Swissotel merchant court managed to spend a awesome evening with the gang having pear flavoured vodka, snacks, sparkling Rose as well as a great game of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway'. I was actually suprised that the game transpired so well! I actually really felt like Drew Carrey for a moment (Well i surely have the size for it)

Later in the week was invited by Connie to join her and Javernat Howl to the Moon (a comedy Club) Was pretty tired that particular day as i had to entertain a client till late. But as i already promised Connie, thought i should at least swing by for a short while. Turned out that i really liked the place! Fantastic music and awesome comedic routines caused me to stay glued to the seat! Will definately pay a visit there again soon.

Recieved an Invite for the ODM watch launch once again. Had lotsa fun in the previous watch launch held last year at fashion bar so i figured that it would be a good idea to pop by again. The event was really entertaining with Rachel and Alicia Pan as hosts for the evening. Thee was also a Dance performance by Studio Wu. Bumped into Justin and gang as well and Rachael too!

The one about Halloween....

When i was young, i was always very fascinated by the Halloween celebrations that took place overseas (Kids trick or treating... pumpkin carving... etc..) As i got older, it mainly became a day where i checked out other individuals in their costumes and very soon after that it mainly became myself dressing up as well.

Javern and i dressed up and went bar hoping last year (Hahaha.. Fish monster and Skeleton) This year we decided to go ahead with bar hopping again but this time we decided to put in much more effort in the costumes before heading to terrorize Thumper, Dbl O, O Bar and Butter Factory respectively. Spent close to an hour helping Javern with his make up, but i think it turned out pretty good!! Haha masterpiece!

Met up with a whole group of friends dressed up as different characters too! Lets see.... we had a Devil (Cash), Catholic Schoolgirl (Huirong), Qing Empress (Joey), Qing Prince (Guanghua), Qing Princess (May), Chinese Vampires (April and Daphne), French Maid (Bettina), Samurai (Jerraine), Genie (Alex), Mexican Wrestler (Don), Greek Goddess (Desiree) And so much more!!! Can't wait for next year!

The One about Kanye.....

Right after consecutive nights of clubbing over the weekend, came another exciting event! The Kanye West Glow In the Dark Concert! I was seriously just like how i pictured it would be and much more! Prior to the Starting of the concert was a beatboxing competition hosted by the Muttons as well as an opening segment by DJ Koflow and Beatboxer Dharni.

By the time Kanye came out, everyone was pretty much hyped up! But needless to say with Kanye around the energy level of the crowd never died down for a second during the concert. Definately had a blast! Haha... bumped into Mellissa during the concert too! You are missed sweets!

The One about Fearless females...

Decided to pop by the Fearless Fun Female party that was held at the Arena. It was hosted by Jean and had quite a number of fun acts during the show! There was Wet T-Shirt contests, Mud Wrestling, cat fights and well and pole dancing (First time seeing it being done in such an artistic way) just to name a few. Mark was performing with Don and Drew as well! As for Donzie... Well lets just say when he was singing 'Bouncy Bouncy Smack Smack' I didn't exactly expect him to take the 'Smack' Term so literally... hahaha (you had fun didn't you!)

Head over to Firefly (A New Cantopop Bar that took over the old premises of Bellini Room) at St James after that. Quite a cool place actually! Although i did actually feel a little too young in the crowd that was present, but it was still pretty nostalgic to sing along to the tunes of Bands like Beyond and Grasshoppers! haha...

Spent the next day at having a steamboat dinner with Javern and Desiree followed by Wine drinking at the cool wine shop at Tiong Bahru. Can'r reember the name of the place though.

After that we ajourned to Butter factory again where we played 5-10 with the King and Queen of the game! (Lol... Jerraine and Alex la) Bumped into Judy & Gang as well! Overall? aTiring but fun week. Woooo!

Met up with Joey, May, Jerraine, Ces for a long awaited steamboat session that was at Bugis area. That was one of the most awesome steamboats i have ever went for! Or maybe it is just me being suaku la.... Anyway it is located directly across the road from Swensens in Bugis junction, and a definate must try!! (Be sure to check out the side dishes that are there)

After a really hearty dinner, decided to head over to butter factory to attend the BITCHFIGHT between DJ Andrew T and DJ NEBOET! Haha... does anyone know they are actually siblings? Well, it was really awesome checking out both their work that particular evening (or maybe it was just because i like trance and electro music) But nevertheless, ended up spending the entire evening there with jugs and jugs of beer!

Also bumped into Cash, Jackie, Judy & Gang at butter factory as well! It happened to be Apples birthday la (jilat, almost forgot).. but was really glad i was there as it was an evening of awesome company once again!

The one about FLOAT......

This is a really delayed post...lol... Was recently invited to the 'FLOAT party that was organised by The Butter Factory. FLOAT is actually the very first hip-hop dance party to be organised on the Marina Bay floating platform!

Being the first time to the platform i was actually very keen to check out the event and it was really fortunate that our hotel was able to be the official hotel for the event. It had a really awesome line up of artistes and DJs as well too! Djs such as Hapa, Ivy V, Lika were all there to make the event really awesome! Not to mention special performances by Beatboxers as well as a Taiwanese rapping group known as Tha Homies!

But of course to top it all up was that there were many friends attending the event too! Managed to have lotsa fun together with the rest being heading home reluctantly..
I Can't wait for FLOAT 2 next year!

Thank you Su for the invite to the MadHatters party that was held at the White Rabbit! As pre-empted, the place was a tad difficult to find as the instruction we recieved was just that it was slightly off from dempsey road. However, it was a fantastic place indeed, and as we all know a great location is a begining of a great event!

Once again there was lots to look out for during the event Carricatures, Tarot card readings (With suprisingly accurate results), Games (That came with Prizes), Lucky Draws (That came with even more Prizes), Interesting Food (The raw Minced beef in particular) and FreeFlow of Booze (Ohh Yeahhhh.........)

It acted as a nice nights out with colleagues.. well, not the entire team was able to make it but then again it is a start isn't it? Utt was hosting the event this time round (great to catch up with ya man!), and the girls were just dying to get a picture with him! hahaa.... ladykiller... Went home for Prata at Thomson road before heading home in a happily buzzed and contented state!

Company Dinner and Dances are always fun... coz firstly it is an excuse to get off early at work and secondly it is also an excuse to drink on the job. And last tuesday was finally the long awaited D&D for 2008.

The theme this time round is Hawaii and boy were we all dressed up for the event. Cash being the brains behind the conceptualisation of the event, the result was pretty good indeed! Lets just say there were dancers doin the Hula... and embarassing moments for many of us... haha... me included!
